RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD
You could get one made, but the problem occurs when you try to stick grease on it. Grease attracts dirt, rocks, ect.

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD
any LHS worth a poo will have a nice selection of 48p Robinsons in stock.
the only downside is there's only eight holes for slipper pegs, instead of the 12 on the traxxas spurs.

Oh its back!
I have been noticing more and more pede/rusty threads asking qestions that are answered in here... Rember the pede and the rusty are basicly the same besides the chassis, and front body mount.

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD
I want to get a pede, i think it looks like a really fun truck. My question is, what hop ups should i get for it? I want to go brushless, and i want aluminum where it will actually count. Also whats the biggest tires i can get for it? will T-maxx tires work? links for any of this would be appreciated. price isnt a huge factor but i dont want it to be ridiculous, thanks everyone.

^yes^
And possibly an aluminum idler gear. That will do untill your son gets a wild hair and starts jumping stuff, then you will want some alum. shocks (evader ones fit)

Oh and if you get the evader shocks, dont forget the evader shock bushings, there like plastic things that go around the shock mount... you have to have them or eles it wobbles

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD
Just got my brushless installed last weekend, Fiegao 8s and Warriror 7018. Only managed to run one pack through it last weekend and about 1 1/3 through it today. Was on the second pack today and I keep hearing this clicking noise and it's really jerky so I'm thinking it's the pinion set screw not tight enough again or a stripped spur. So I pick it up and the pinion and spur are fine. Spin one tire and something isn't right. Took the tranny apart and the diff gear is half stripped so guess what's on my shopping list now.

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD
Has anyone compared a trinity 17t speedgems motor to a 19t spec motor like reedy quad mag or chameleon? I am going to upgrade the motor and I have narrowed it down to one of these two I think. Are there differences in torque, top speed, maintenance?
Right now my pede is 100% stock. Also is one of these motors going to be powerful enough to require aluminum idler or can I risk using the plastic one?

Make that 2 diffs stripped. That Fiegao 8s is one torquey motor and murder on diffs running on 7 cells. And I haven't heard from the guy at Cold Fusion about his steel diff so I can only assume he doesn't have any at the moment.[]

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD
Oh and in case your wondering, the first one lasted about 2 1/3 charges with no slipper clutch, just had the adapter plate on it. The second one lasted about 1 1/4 charges with the slipper, and it was loose enough that it's would spin the spur gear and take forever to get speed, I tightened it up enough that it would pick up the front end and that's when the second diff let go. Oh and the gearing is pretty low, 14/87 but I'm trying to get the hang of soldering battery packs yet. The ones I've soldered so far are running pretty hot but I'm getting better.

I've stripped 4 in my pede, 3 in my Rustler, and my friend Rusty has done it 2 times. I gets really annoying after a while.

I'm already annoyed. I think I'm just gonna run 6 cells for now till I can get a steel diff gear.

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD
Just don't run real powerful motors. I was running a 19 turn in my Pede and a 13 turn triple mod in the Rusty. The Pede hasn't gone longer than 10 battery packs without something going wrong with the tranny.

Now what fun would that be? Once I can get that steel diff gear in it it'll be fine.
