venom packs are by no means bad. they dont seem to last as long as some other batts. and 5k mAh is hard on nimh cells. and they are way overpriced. a 7cell 5000 is what like $70-$80 or something? i know the 8cells are $89... rip off IMO. with that price your better off getting lipo...

wow it got way to hot. 193 on the motor. that was doing some hard driving. but i think im going to change out to the 16 again. it got way to hot for me. but it was very fast.

and also why does my car stutter when i start to go? it is at a distance that it does this. is it my radio?

yeh 193 is hot... i was basing the gearing from the lowest pinion suggested for the mamba max... guess the sidewinder isnt quite up to that... it only stutters from a distance? how far of a distance? might have dirt in your reciever. or else your antenna needs to stick out further, or you can deal with it till it stutters terribly...

well i dont know what to do i think i will drop the pinion again to the 16 and try to put a little more of my antenna out. it is from about 100 to 125 feet away that it stutters.

[link]http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXASX3**&P=0[/link]
it kinda did it with my brushed also but i thought it was just the motor.

and now i was driving and the highest temp was 146. not to bad i guess. but im getting some 2.2 tires so that should bring it down a lot.

you might wanna just take the crystals out, whipe off the prongs with a wash cloth or something(dry) and use compressed air to blow out the crystal ports. might help it a little bit.

no unfortunately i do not... i really want to get one though. as soon as tower gets them in i think i might build one. not even use it just make another shelf queen i am also looking into getting a hornet again. really wish they would re-release the super hornet. that was the best buggy ever! if you have a question about the lunchbox or basically any other tamiya, get in touch with lunchboxer(pretty sure thats his nam on here...?) he owns a few of everything it seems like and he will tell you everything you need to know...

yes, lunchboxer is everywhere lol i have already asked him some questions about the box. i am getting one soon. i built a dark impact and it is just fun to build. i want to keep it mostly stock. probly just shocks, bearings, and motor for upgrades.

but back to the pede topic. i am gonna drive the balls off my stampede this weekend along with my brother and my friend. it is gonna be huge. all of our trucks are working (kinda lol) and we might make a movie (if the rain stops [>:])

yeh... im ordering a lot of stuff this weekend... some 17mm adaptors, 42rate rear 1/8 racing foams, soft springs, the ls2 front towers to lower my body(depending on if i screw up making my own or not...) full aluminum turnbuckles(maybe... need to measure everything and see if they will fit on my widening deal), a tiny little spur with a big ***** pinion. a new chassis to get some length on this thing.

if you didnt notice before i said pede SS a post or 2 back. the SS stands for Super Slammed. when i widened my pede i left the original front shocks on, which made the front end sit about 1-1.5cm off the ground... you can put front shocks on the back and make it sit crazy low as well... i did this with road hawg tires and it was great how well it handled for such a top heavy truck... but it still liked to slide... thats where the foams come in. every stampede you see is high and mighty. the ultimate basher. with a few small changes, i am going to have a road weapon to put some cars to shame with... it might turn int oa drag car if i still cant get it to turn like a pan car... i will hopefully be able to get my hummer body to sit crazy low, that way it will look like a lowrider with a wheelie bar on it... which reminds me, im getting rubber wheels for the wheelie bar too. of course all this is depending on how much it will cost... got a mamba max esc on the way too for my revo so...

i tried taking some of it when i first widened it and it sat crazy low(about 1cm front and back skids...) but my camera went poof... no idea why... and im just hoping i can follow through with it... im still waiting for this rustler to sell... and same with my tl-01... anyone interested? the rustler needs an engine swap i think(nitro) cause i bought it used and it said needed work, unfortunately work means lots of engine work which i dont have the time to put into it. i wanted to buy and sell, but since the engine is crap its not goin anywhere right now.... the tl-01 is in good condition. but no one seems to want it. this would set me up for these projects... anyone interested?
