yes ive clocked my stampede at 68 before on 3s. im actually thinking of using a vxl motor, mamba max esc and ccbec. running 4s. probably run some sort of 1/8 firm foam.

that will be insane. make sure you take some vids. and when you were going 50 we were gearing 23/90. we had a lot more gearing to go. we could have gotten it faster i think.

is your clutch loose? if so just tighten it. if not then you need new pads and spring. and 50mph on 7 cell wit ha 23/90 gearing? that doesnt seem right to me... this is on the 5700? and good video. you need to get some jumping in there though interspace

Hey, new to r/c but I just got my nitro pede tonight night and I have a few questions. 1: Does ayone know if these castor blocks will fit. (FLM 2700)
2: Has anyone ever heard of a fuel called JETS, the manufacturer is Klotz.
3: If you have heard of JETS, is it any good? It's all I can seem to find in Germany.

most fuels are the same. i have not heard of Jets but im sure its just like any other fuel... id recomend 20%. those casters should fit. they are listed under the nitro rustler, which has all the same suspension parts as the stampede, so they should be fine.

check out rc-monster.com for the gorillamaxx straps or teknorc.com for the tekno straps. ah and on 7700 with 23/86 makes a lot more sense...

Guys, I checked the Stampede VXL chart and it says that you needs a 30t pinion and a 83t spur to make the Pede go 65mph+ with the 3S 20C 11.1V 8000 mAH. Do you really needs the 30t pinion and 83t spur? How fast will the Pede VXL go with just the 3S 20C LiPo 11.1V 8000 mAH, without using the 30t and 83 spur?

Theres a video on youtube of someone that used a 3s 20c 5000mAh LiPo (maxamps), 25 tooth pinion, 86 tooth spur and hit 65.3mph http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XauByRV6fs8

Well guys, here are some pictures of my Pede. I had this truck ever since it came out. It's a great truck and last very long. No problems yet. I bashed it very hard and I had to say, it's a solid truck. I'm running a brushless system in it now and it's twice the fun. This is one of my favorite truck. Enjoy:

i did 67 on a 23/84 gearing. basically the same as that pede in the video. with a 30/83 you can probably do well over 65. more in the 70 range. bone stock other than the suggested gearing ive done a rustler near 75. thats with the recomended gearing for 70+

so i tried out jato shafts today on my pede... they fit but you had to remove the blue dust cover and had to drill out the holes in both the pedes yokes and axles. im not sure if jato yokes fit. the axles deffienetly do not

Now, thats a true Stampede owner!

One of the few that have the old xl-1's, and still pretty much stock. The truck was popular at the time and the new vxl version has to be the most popular truck out now! At least, in it's class.

you also have to realize that the stampede is a class of its own... haha. yes its hard to find almost bone stock xl-1s... electronics obviously have to be changed since motors and esc die eventually. but chassis wise its hard to see. mine no longer is.... its widened and has full metal tranny and a wheelie bar... i guess im out of the race...

I think that it's pretty cool what Traxxas has done with a 10+ year old design. [&:]

The xl-1 started it all. I have a few xl-1 plastic (black) parts on my Rustler. The top chassis is black, It looks pretty cool along with the grey. [8D]

Thanks! Yeah, the VXL Pede's are very popular now, like the first original Pede back in the days at it's first release. I'm thinking of getting a other Pede, probably the other Pede will be the VXL!

what kind of price tag are you looking at? whats the highest you can go? i can find you two 9 cells for around 140 or so. or a single for around 75. and as the cells drop so does the price.

so a page back i was looking for a battery strap. i found one lol. i just wanted one today so i told my dad that i wanted some velcro if he could find some. lol this is funny. he pulls out this black strap that has a loop on the end. it is awesome. fits the chassis perfect. it is the strongest stuff ever. i can pull it as hard as i can and it wont come appart. i will post some pics along with a video staring my traxxas stampede and an rc10gt2.

as far as batteries go. i got a new duratrax side by side pack 4200 mah. it doesnt fit in the tray to well. you will have to get a velcro strap and sand the sides of your chassis a bit but it is worth it. i was popping wheelies throughout the whole pack today gearing 18/86 with the newer slipper set 2 turns out. you could heer it whinning lol
