Default lets see those touring cars

still waiting for my RS4 18SS to arrive...and i was bored today, so i dug out an electric touring car i had and rebuilt it. its an HPI RS4 Pro...went to the hobby shop to pick up a new motor and some new wiring...4 hours of entertainment for under 50 bux isnt too bad. still trying to find the right set of dish/foam combo. can anyone recommend an unlimited turn limit ESC and motor? right now it has an LRP Runner Plus ESC with a new Revenge of the Monster motor

the body was done a couple days ago and its for my nitro car. its a chamleon airbrush that shifts green, gold, purple, blue, and gray.

i have another RS4 Pro complete, with full carbon chassis that i'm going to clean up if anyone is interested in buying it. full electronics and controller included. if anyone is looking for an electric car to build up. these are racers so if you are looking to bash around in parking lots, i wouldnt recommend a Pro.

lets see your rides [8D]

How do yall like the trinity connectors, any better than deans?

Ive been hardwiring (everything) on my TC3, then put deans back on the other day for some away from home bashing, all I can say is deans suck LOL (major loss of punch and much slower acceleration compared to hardwiring).

A bit fof topic, but has anyone tried the DTX slicks? I ordered a set for bashing and am just wondeirng if their going to be crap or "allright". Also, what brand of tires would yall recomend for racing? I usualy proline tires on all my cars, but it looks like all proline has in the TC area are v-rages and those ones with flame tread.

the trinity connectors arent bad. i have been using them for a while. as long as you crimp them well, you'll be fine. if you are noticing less performance than hardwiring, then something within the connections is wrong

I suppose I shouldnt have said a "major", as its not all that bad, but is quite noticeable after running it hardwired.

By the way, theirs nothing wrong with the connection nor the connectors, I probobly solder better than most of the people here (note placement of winking smiley, its their to not piss anyone off )

for a more permanent set up, i'd hardwire everything as well. the plug and play advantage of the solderless connections allows for quick swaps of ESC/Motor combinations making the search for the "perfect" combo a bit easier, which sold me on the idea of connectors. i feel like a noob in the electric world being gone from them for almost 10 years, so until i can find myself something im happy with, i wont be soldering anything for a while

Yeah the plugs are good for that, and bashing, but I pretty much stick to the Gp3300's and chameleon motors.
