If I put the Mamba Max in my evader, will it blow everything up? Or can I just tune the thing down on the computer so it doesn't output so much, until I get a new diff. Is the diff all I need with all this new power?

I think yes you can don the power and yes you can use it with low power, if you want all power buy the conversion it all you need andmaybe a new metal gear servo

the new diff and aluminum idler but you have the ext meaning you'll neen the evader style cases cuz they used different internal ratio's on the ext but
as for 6 cell batteries peaking at 8.5 if they're good batts they sould do that, i know people who have had 6 cells peak at 10v, it all depends on charge rates.... i charge mine a 5A (charger max) but some people may go 3ish or even 7 or 8 depending on the pack and all
if you charge at a higher amperage you'll get more power but less mha slower charge time will do the opposite, if unsure just do 1c ie on a 4200 pack 4.2 amps, also if your charger shows it, check the mha level at the end of the charge, my packs probally reach about 8.5-8.75v at about 2000mha but don't stop charging to 3000 (needs help...) and 4000 needs some help but its a 4200 pack and the other is a 3800... but my problems the point is, if you can look at the stats on the packs it's a good idea, before i left my nihm's for a month at a full charge (do not do or you will get above results store at half charge) the 3800 peaked at like 4200mha the 4200mha peaked at like 42-4800mha it all depends on use, so these packs hold more than they are rated for and put out more power than the lable says, keep in mind the better you're pack the more exagerated these results are, the guy who i bought these from said new they peaked at like 5000mha the 4200mha's so just thought i'ld throw that out there
http://www.rc411.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5985
that thread started by you're truely back when i was a uber noob, a guy did a thing on batteries, it starts at post 6 and goes onto the next page
MG servos are a must for anything bigger than 1/16 or 1/12, and even they could use some, but if you're not crashing into stuff not 100% nessasary but they sure are a nice thing to have knowing that you'll probally never have a settering issue a al servo horn almost completly makes sure of that but i've been known to blow the odd bellcrank into next week....
the b2 diff conversion is soo worth it, look on the prevous page for info on finding it....

What's the best 4700 battery out there....I need max runtime for a 30 minute main race on a MM 5700. I'm worried I can't get to 30 min on 4700, but I don't want to go higher because I'll use the 4700 when they require 27t.

well i know the evader rims are compatable with T4 rims and B4 if you got abuggy or wanna try somthing cool...
so if they do fit those then they'll fit the evader i think evader revo master had a link
yeah but those won't work well they will if we were to put a 12mm hex on but only the rears...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.
hey anouther double post by the lug
and i'm coping this one from RC411...
i just tested my badlands out, they are sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the traction is insane (just like me), i had my evader geared 22/88 which is just 1 tooth down on the pinion for a 1/2 in tire increase, and it was great, these things have soo much traction i can't belive it, i hardly spun out at all , they balloned a bit but hey a tire with a 1.77 in sidewall has rights to do that i got traction on:
loose rocks in my driveway
loose dirt in gardens (we cut them)
on wet grass
snow, (it's melting but we had like 2 in yesterday...)
i didn't get great traction on
my stone sidewalk,
my hard packed road
the road may be cuz it was either airborn or about to wheelie as i turned which lead to a pretty cool effect as it diffed out i did a 900 once and a few 720's the end of my body hates me from all the times it met the ground... all i can say is that these things are freakin' insane
okay done now...
some pics for ya

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.
Ahh ok. That would explain the large pinion. Large compared to what I can run anyway. Anything over 18 teeth and the motor overheats. I can probably bump up to 20 now that the weather is cooler. I run 25t on my velineon powered rustler riding on proline dirt works with no problem. Id love to go BL in the evader, but I still can't keep the diff from slipping, so BL isn't much of an option for me right now.

What you mean with "just don't go overboard...?
dont go without grease? I was using car grease, litium and other black car grease
that is for balljoints etc.. but i think that that grease doesnt help. one time also I use real car tranny oil inside the tranny, the tranny was noiseless but the oil come out of it because it not is sealed. I know you think im crazy using that all thing but that is because I not have the RC car greases

I use Permatex brake caliper grease because it doesn't sling off the gears. Its really thick, so it cuts down on gear noise and its still really slick so everything rolls easy. Maybe its too slick for inside the diff?
Do the new balls and washers have to wear in any?
