Default OLD SCHOOL Vintage Rockbuster Question

When I was around 9 or so Late 80's my pops bought me a Rockbuster buggy. Does anybody still use these? I have keep the tradition alive as my 8 yr old daughter now has a Stampede, and I have a Savage 25, and a XXXNT. I thought maybe there was a vintage R/C sight on the web or even here? I remember that thing could cut a mean doughnut and was actually pretty quick for how crude they were. I also remember tearing the dang rear end apart every month to replace the main gear. Any info would be helpful.

If this is the car you used to have, then you might be just as well purchasing a Tamiya GRASSHOPPER.

To the best of my knowledge, the Rockbuster was basicly a copy of the original Tamiya Grasshopper (as were a few cars from "Acadamy" ). They are pretty few and far between now.

The Grasshopper however, has recently been re-released by Tamiya, making them relatively easy and inexpensive to find. If you like a slightly different look, Tamiya has also re-released "The Hornet", which is based on the same chassis.

Both cars are fun, tough, and definately bring back memories! Either one can be had for under $100 NIB.
