evader st pro question(s)?

Default evader st pro question(s)?

ok I was looking at rc cars and have decided on a evader st pro since its in my price range and it seems to be a well built car and have friends that have it and say its good and a few questions. can I take a rc car through like a small amount of water would it mess with the electrics. and can you take them on the sand? just answer those for me and um yep thanks

You would want to waterproof the electronics if your gonna run through water. Search the 43094 threads that deal with waterproofing. Welcome to the hobby and have fun.

thanks very much and would it take alot to waterproof the car like would it take hours to do if so i will just stear clear of the water and anyone know anything about sand?

I run mine on sand all the time and never had a problem. I did put in sealed bearings just to be safe and also sand tires.

That's an antenna mount. I use a wire whip antenna and it has to sit up high enough so the coil is at the roof line so it will flex and not bend.

ok so I need to waterproof it when I get it and for the sand its ok I saw a thread earlier that showed how to waterproof with like a balloon or something a link would be appreciated so I do not have to look around but its ok thanks for the help everyone and I will look around the evader thread thanks thanks

You can use a balloon for the rx but not the esc. The cooling fins need to be out in the air to cool. If you really want to go through water buy a water proof esc. You will still need to sel the servo though with rubber coating (dip).
