Default NEwbie

Hey guys, i am sort of new to the hobby of customizing RC vehicles.. Sorry if my thread annoys you and please dont flame me out.. As a first vehicle..i used the search on these forums to find out what would be a good starter vehicle...So i going to get myself a Tamiya Blitzer (I sohuld get it next week)..It is full stock. I don't know what to upgrade or what would be compatible...But my first upgrade are the ball bearing set. So basically what i want to know is what should i do to get my truck more powerful..? I am more of into the the offroad..I got some snow around here at this time and i want to mess around with it..I alrdy have experience with Nikko n Tyco RC vehicle but then i know their nothing when compared to this..Thanks guys.

ballbearings are a must. the second 'must' is a good charger. the duratrax digital piranha has everything an average basher wants and costs 50$. third: GOOD packs! IB3600/3800 or GP3300/3700. then go for a good esc with 15 or 12turn limit. even if the stock truck has an esc, it will be pretty junky [only for 27-23t motors]. after the esc, what you need is a good motor. trinity chameleon2, reedy quad magnet, tamiya 350rz, even a towerhobbies speedstocker will do fine towards the stock mabuchi rs540sh.

welcome to rcu angrydog.

Im not familiar with it but if it doesnt have oil shocks which it most likely doesnt, you will definately want some.

This is a list of items in the priority that I would go with.

1. Good batteries(gp3300, 3700, IB3800)
2. Nice charger( piranha$50, or if you want to get a good charger, the super brain 969 used $50-$70)
3. Better esc(novak xrs 15 turn limit $45, duratrax 12 turn esc$60.
4. Motor( p2k, chameleon, quad mag, monster)
5. oil shocks
