I'm thinking of getting one when I get a job and putting high grip street treads and a novak gtb brushless system on it then terrorizing the neighborhood streets with it. May even ee if I can ge the local police to do a radar run on it!

I own one. I put a 17 turn motor on it about a week after I got it. i havent played with it for awhile though. Well atleast not since I got my tmaxx. Its a great little car. Fun for those times when I want to rc, but don't want to leave the parking lot.

Stock tires do really quickly. Also the stock server went to crap pretty quickly for me too.

28????? is that MPH? cuz if so that would make it the fastest stock rtr truck when compared to like the t4 and mf2...dont think your truck was totally stock if hitting 28

yeah, no lie, well, 28mph wuz a little faster than mine, but i got mine used on ebay (hehe, perfect condition tho, no mud or anything, and came with new tires, but the motor was worn down a little) anywayz, i got this cop on the street to speed trap all of my rc cars, basically, my fastest was my trf415msx (i sold for $553 on ebay) which was going at 53mph !!!!! i was like, wooo, then the next was my tl-01 which clocked in at 39.9mph, then my other cars, and the raven st (totally stock, cept a 3300mah 7.2v battery (GP)) went 24.2mph, so in my opinion, the raven seems very fast when you first drive it, but one the motor wears down, it wears down, so i got a new motor (15t peak racing motor) and it hits over 30mph now, which i am very happy with

hey, for hop ups, just use the losi xxx a-arms, and you can also buy like 2 sets of evader titanium camber/tunbuckle link sets, and mix and match to get new titanium camber/turnbuckle, because the steering servo is kinda werid, but it still is very fun truc, the chassis feels like it will never break, very stiff, i like it

the first day i got mine i ended up snaping the chassis by shuting off the radio. I fried the motor and now have a Venom Fireball 19 turn modified. I am tring to find a differnt set of Shocks and metal gears cuz the plastics are cheap.

Thought I would post pictures of mine. Had it since March. Now I run the stock tires because they hook up on the track better the Dirt Works that are in the picture. Next is a new body now that I got a t-maxx going. The only problem I repeatedly had was with the stock esc, which is why I upgraded. Check out my garage to see my mods.

umm, what do you mean, the raven st doesnt come with msc? oooo, i get it, haha, get a better esc, lol
well for me, i find the stock esc to be ok, but it gets the job done, and it goes down to 15t which is a plus (runs a little hot tho, lol)

well slim, the guy at your local hobby store obviously hasnt driven one, or has no driving skill, becasue i race mine, against stock electric xxx buggies and i usually win (when mine wuz stock) then i upgraded, and kcik their ass 10X harder, this is a definate buy, because it is VERY quality, and very competative, if you poped in a brusheless quality motor/esc, it would fly

The hobby shop guy is basically trying to get more money off of you, since the xxx-t is more expensive.

yes, so you should really print out this thread, or contact otehr "reliable" hobby stores, about the raven st, and then show the guy at your hobby store, and tell him that u know hes trying 2 rip u off, because its not fair that people do that, make you pay way more, for somethign that is basically the same, like, litterally, the same, i use the losi xxx a-arms for my raven st
