I am back! AND WITH A VENGEANCE! And now I have money to boot! I'm planning on scraping the cheap (but reliable) Traxxas TQ2 or whatever it is called for a Futaba... something nice. Get new higher torque servos, and I'm gonna wire it so I have optional 4WS. gonna put some new (better) bearings on the suspension canti's.... oh man i can go on and on....
so nice to be back!

RE: Lunchboxer's TXT-1 project...
Anyone have any issues with bending stub axles? I was driving the truck today with the stock motors and a EVX2 esc running on 2 2S lipo packs.
I was bashing in the snow/slush and small bumps in the road and heard a grinding sound. I though it was something in the transmission, but it turns out one of the front stub axles was bent.
Maybe I am running too much power to it, but I cant imagine that being the case. Neither diff is locked but the tires are glued.

Wow, I don't know how you do that.. but time to get some spares... I wouldn't try to bend it back, etc. (you could, maybe keep as spare?) They are cheap enough to get some spares..

I bought a set from tower just a few minutes ago. I am sure its some sort of freak thing as I have never seen it before either. But anyway shes out of commission for a few days or so.

I need to get mine running and have a nice snow storm like that so I don't have to tear it all down just to clean it [&o]

Haha I always like to see the shots of the txt where it is launching or coming over a crest, and the frontend is in the air and all twisted up from the torque HAHA hilarious! Great pics. How are those electrifly motors holding up?

I found the bearings on ebay (good thing I didn't order them from Tower)...
Search: "6 x 11 x 4mm Metal Shielded Bearing" in order to get the $1.00 a piece ones vs. $10 a piece skateboard ones.
