The stock one was pretty heavy duty... the universal only broke after I put 16.8V and dual S-600 through them..
I mean, there's a limit on what the manufacturer would try to achieve on the relability margin.. remember the kit was designed for 7.2V on dual 540 silver can..

The REVO shaft looks right at home in the big truck!! Almost make the front shaft looks small!! (the front one is steel, of course..)

Hi LB,
Did you order those parts directly from TamiyaUSA.com or did a LHS handled the order for you? I was looking at tower hobbies for the Drive gear (5495023) but they don't carry those parts.
Just wanted to order those drive gear just in case it breaks down by the time I use HV-Maxx 6.5...

I ordered the gears directly from Tamiya USA.. They are like less than $4 a piece.. I'd say get a few of them and stock up on the spare parts!!

My customized skid plates! But New Era's are beefier than this though...just enough protection to protect my aluminum axle guards and axles.
