What do you feel about the outcome is it a viable conversion ..?? It looks as though you just rotate the whole mess around the centerline of the rear axel and then electrify the results Should cut down on the wheelie tendency considerabily As well as adding some steering authority..??

pretty much thats what i did i also drilled a new set of transmission holes so that it would bring the tranny twards the front about a 1/2 inch
here is the buggy conversion before and after u can see how far the motor was moved
as for how it improved the car on the st it takes jumps better and sice it also makes me mount the bat from side to side it really centers the car
on the buggy mid motor it made the car handle like a tc (2wd lol )
im shure the conversion coud work on ans st that has a flat chassis but u would also have to make shure the top gear of the trans can be reversed also

Wow,... that will sure give me something else to think about,... The XXX-nt Losi S.T. has a different set-up with the nitro mill in the center so that would turn out a little different though...... This was what I originally had in mind...
I'm not folowing the top gear statement though..??
Nice work I really love to see the creative streak that most folks have...................Kudos...................... ...Dave..

well ok when u reverse the transmission u have ti take out the top shaft and gear and reverse it so thet the sour gear is now on the oppsite side of the transmission otherwise when the motor is sposed to move fwd it will actually drive the car backwards

her is one i did. it is on a buggy but the same concept can be applied to a truck. moving the motor forward like that gives tou greater stability while sacraficing forward traction. i did this conversin and i am currently running on a blue-groove clay reack and i needed more rear traction so i fliped it around to have a normal rear mounted motor. Forward mounted motors are usually better for the rougher stuff, but there are excetions, it all really drprnds on what kind of track your running, but if you are doin it just to do it and not race, then go for it.
