i have a rustler xl-5 with a vxl in it.
got 2 3600 mah batterys.

first you will need a track[8D]. then you could make your rustler wider, some new tires.. idk. rustlers arn't really made to race. why don't you just race your friends t4 and see how you do. if your not happy with it, then start upgrading.

it's really going to depend a lot on the driver. you will have the speed advantage from takeoff. the odds are in your favor
well, no it wasn't really a challange but it could be.
i will put my vxl in my t4. like i did last time. that will give you a run for your money[8D]

no i am saying your top speeds will be pretty close. but from taking off you will beat him because the vxl has tons of torque.
well, you will be on training mode...
my vxl flies. it's amazing what a bl motor will do to a racer.

yeah. in normal mode, it wont be close. you might want to consider letting him use one of your batteries. you will get much longer runtime then him. especcially since you will be on 50% throttle
