how is this truck in general? i know that you can do some crawling with its long suspension travel. but what about speed wise? maybe if you put a bigger pinion tooth to get some speed. and maybe some crawler tires on it how would it be?

From what I hear it's a great crawler. It'll only do about 10-13 MPH out of the box. I wouldn't recommend putting a bigger pinion on. It'll overheat the esc.

I've had mine since last feb.The truck is not ment to be a high speed mt as it sits stock. It will flip easy in a high speed turn. Now if you want to buy/build your own chassis, change the wb replace the transmission with a center diff add touring car shocks a mamba max esc. with a 7700 brushless motor and a 2 cell lipo you could go as fast as 72.9mph like David Cornell did at the worlds fastest rc car challenge!
But really, the truck is fun and it can be what ever you want it to be a mudder a rock crawler a backyard basher it is ready for what is in your imagination.I'm going to be building a scaler with mine soon ,it was a rock crawler.Mabey i should build a tuber,i can never stop thinking.

wheely king is a sweet looking truck, but if you want something faster try the E-Savage if you are an HPI fan. But ultimately it all depends on what you want to do with the truck and where you want to run it

There is an article in one of the Rc mags this month. They basically drive the lil bugger off a 150ft cliff 3 times and it keeps working. Very tough little machine.

You want 2.2 size mashers. I would recomend the masher 2k's over the regular mashers, they have more grip.
