Default Brushless setup for raceing?

I have a XXX-T MF2 and will be raceing next year. I already have a mamba 5700 and would like ssomething more suited for raceing.

So what would be a good motor/ESC combo for raceing 1/10 ST? Ive been eyeing the gtb 6.5r. Also price is not an issue but the cheaper the better. I also plan on getting the Team orion 4800mah lipo pack.

have you tried toning the mamba down with lower gearing and putting the settings on low with the programing.

No. 6.5r is no good, that is yesterday's setup. 7.5l is what you want, especially if you have never raced before.
