Default Stampede

Does anyone know what the factory gearing or what to go to on the older Stampedes, and how many cells can be ran on the speed control.I just got this truck and it seems to be geared high it does not have much low end to it.It has a brand new Peak raven sv2 on it if that helps with the gearing suggestion
