Good ESC For Checkpoint Money Motor
Is the Novak XRS a good ESC for the Checkpoint Money Motor?
Anybody run the Money motor with the XRS?
Or should I get the Rooster 12T, or Tekin FX-R?
Will be used in a RC10B4 with a Integy 3800 6 cell pack.
I don't mind spending the extra money if its needed, we have an offroad track that we use for fun, not competition.
Ran the XRS with a Speedgem Pro 17T, was very impressed with the 20+ min runtime using the Integy 3800 pack(timing was set @ 0),
had alot more punch than the Duratrax 1900 pack.

RE: Good ESC For Checkpoint Money Motor
that esc will be fine with 6-cell packs, but not 7-8 cell packs. If you want to upgrade your esc, get something like a traxxas velineon esc so you can run brushed or brushless motors even with more then 6 cells

RE: Good ESC For Checkpoint Money Motor
I run the XRS with a Money Motor in my sons Pede on a 7 cell IB3600 pack without any issues at all. His truck has been setup like this for about 6 months but it only gets like one pack a weekend ran through it. I would say he gets 15-20 minutes of run time with block long wheelis!
