Why don't you just order another original pulley?

I fixed the old rear pulley and put bigger goldpan rc-10 balls in it.

The reason why I've had so many diff issues my kit did not include diff springs.
I have been running it without the springs is why my diffs kept coming loose.

That problem has been fixed however, replaced the spring with a ball-point pen spring since they are the same diameter.
Seems to work alot better than it did without the spring.

Neither, these diffs are such a pain in the dirt that you either have to run tungsten diff balls or, a front one way.

I'm going with a front one-way and tungsten diff balls in the rear end.

The diffs in the car are that terrible....at least to me....nothing but a big pain in the Butt.

My B44 has never had diff issues. Thus my 501x will be the ONLY 4wd I'll run with a front one-way pulley.

Update
Not only is the front one way installed(believe me I had alot of help on oople), but the Tugsten diff balls are in the rear pulley.
The reason why my diffs melted was a complete build error, not only did I not put the spacer in but imagine running a diff with no bearings.[X(]
I big Boo Boo for me, maybe I was just in hurry to get it running the first time. But lesson learned and the car is running better than it ever did before.
These diff balls made the diff really smooth also. I have never felt a diff so smooth before.
Swaybars are also installed. Man I just love this car, cannot wait to run it at a track somewhere.[8D]

I didnt feel like modding the chassis battery slots on such a pretty car. I used the 501x battery posts on my onroad car.
My NIMH batteries fit better with the associated trays.

tell us the difference in handling with the one way. Is it just the one way kit or is there more stuff you need to make it run?

I googled this:

Rear wheel braking only (not a good idea on paper).
Works like a locked diff on straight acceleration.
Only 1 wheel powered on cornering (the inside wheel).

It handles really good with the front one way, if I had better steering response on my radio and had my toe in and toe out correct
I could have made the turns in full speed. I'll have to look at that sometime.

Well, heres my report on this car, it's a very durable car, I managed to break my wing but that's it.
When I cleared the tripples with it, it wanted to land on the wing, kinda nose first high in the air.

My rear diff came loose again, so I had to re-tighten it at the end of the 3rd heat.
The slipper was a little loose, but I heard that's the way it should be, I tightened it down a little more with less slippage.
I read that you want it to slip a little to protect the belts from hard landings.

I was racing against 5 B44's, 1 BJ4, and a Kyosho Lazer FS. These drivers were really good too, but some of my laps were good.
At the main my battery came unplugged, so I finished last, but that's fine I dont like being on a track with 7 other cars anyhow, I was just
in thier way pretty much.

Ive always wanted a 501x buggy. They look so much better than the b44 IMO. If I do get one eventually It will definately be for racing only.

I recently traded my B44 for an SC10 so I see your point. The car is so much better than the B44 and fits
my driving style to a tee. Much better car to drive than a B44 was. Parts should be easy for me to find
since the 502x has the same shock towers.

Just easier, plan and simple. You can skip the chassis file'n process altogether....
people that ran this car usually didnt have what I have done to mine.
Im very discouraged that the track I ran this car at closed, so it's gonna stick with me...
I refuse to sell the car because I have too much time and effort into it.
Also people have moved on to the 502x. It's a shaft driven version of this car basically.
I didnt get it because I like belt driven buggies alot better. Hence why I kept my XX4 and 501x.
Shock towers are thankfully the same. The 511 wasnt as good as the 501x, because people
ended up putting 501x stuff on the 511. The 511 was just a Lipo freindler version of the 501x.
Im old school and like Nimh batteries better.

It's easier to drive with a front one way, It also gives you more steering.
It is more of a preference thing, but I like driving it with a front one way.
