Mine is lowered so im using the inner holes on the front and the rear. It's setup as a bomber
and I have Speed Hawg Street tires on it. I actually race my E-Firestorm in the bomber class at
the local oval dirt track, I've kept up with everyone else. Ive raced and beaten
T4's and several XXXT's. The springs im using are AE T4 Springs, green rear and gold fronts.

Where should I have the DR on the transmitter placed at full or low?

I wish hobbyking would hurry up with shipping i ordered my 2s Turnigy Nano-tech 35c-70c 5000mah pack last week and i just got a email saying it was just being sent to the shippment center and to expect a tracking number within 24-48hrs and im sure I still wont get it for another 2 weeks....

I'm gonna order a Rpm mini blue bumper for the front cause the stock thing doesnt do anything and I want to keep the weight down on the truck so the extra grams are at least placed in a good spot. I'm being smart about ordering upgrades and the weight they have and where there being placed to have a well balanced truck thats semi light

I'm thinking of ordering the Ball Diff, but i have a few questions-

-Which ball diff do I need the ESE Ball diff or the regular Blitz ball diff?

- Do I need any other parts to make the Diff work?

- How many people run this in there storm and hows it working out??

I got the Rpm bumper for the front and Tbone for the rear. I love the Tbone works well as a wheelie bar but the Rpm digs in if you have a bad landing and causes endo's rather than letting the car roll on the front wheels...... just my opinion.

Yeah, if anyone wants a ball diff plus 90% of one in parts I will sell a pair to you.  It slips too much with 3s power.

Does anyone know if the stock pinion on the E firestorm with the vektor motor is 18 tooth or 19t i tried to count it but im tired and i think i mess up counting cause i came up with 18 or 19, I ran it on 2s and motor temps were 90 and ESC was 70. I also drilled some small holes in the winsheild a 3x3 area to help with cooling which i think deff helps.

Anyways my buddy sold me a set of street tires and rims that he thought fit a Rustler my basher but they didnt so i looked them over and there HPI so i slaped them on and tossed in a 21-T pinion to do a speed run tmrw. my friends track we race on is super loose so I need to gear up to help with traction untill I go on the castle thing and set the punch. cause its got to much power to fast needs to be more linar and needs more brake.

Recent additions to my EFS: Wheelie bar and Pure-Tech battery strap. Highly recommend the Pure-Techs....an excellent product.

The lipo is a Zippy 5000 3S. I was surprised at the size of it myself, and it's what got me to buy the Pure-Tech battery strap.

The servo is a bluebird (BMS-617DMG+HS, $20) from hobbyking. I have one of these in my other truck too. Great value for money.....fast and strong.

that zippy battery looks like its a 4s2p sense its stacked like 2 batterys. I hope my 3s Turnigy Nano-tech isnt like that or ill have to rig something like you got going on.  Question Why did you switch out the castle motor for a Vxl?

Is anyone running the Associated Spur gear setup???

My buddy had one and we took mine apart but the hole that the spur sits on is way to big, is there suppose to be a bearing or something that fits inside the Assoicated spur gear to make it fit the tranny output shaft?

I read on another forum that you can run associated spur gears by just switching to there spur and slipper pads and using the hpi slipper clutch. I like this idea so I can run different Spurs and yes i know the blitz works as well with some minor mods. So people say the Associated spur needs to be reemed out but others say you can put it on no issue.

Ijust bought a Zippy 5000mah 3S1P and it was also too tall for the stock battery strap. Iwent to Ace hardware and bought some longer screws that still work with the battery strap thumb screws. The screw size was a metric M3 and they need to be longer than 30mm (I think Iused 40mm). Ihad to go with phillips but they fit inside the chassis holes nicely. Ialso have to turn the strap backwards but it seems to hold the battery in well. Idon't use 3S all the time and Idid not want to spend anymore money.

I'll have to look at how tall that 3s zippy is on hobbyking cause i was going to order a Turnigy Nano-tech 3s but if its the same size im just going to order another 2s nano-tech.

I just went and did some speed runs with it geared with a 26 pinion it was cool outside tonight Mid 50's so it didnt get crazy hot. Im still running the 7cell Nimh 3800mah pack the truck came with till my damn Lipo's and venom pro chargter come I can't wait to see the difference.

Nope, definitely 3S1P... http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=14085

My EFS was originally the brushed version. That's no VXL motor...it's a Hobbywing 4000KV 8.5T.

Thats exactly what I did with my blitz and storm. Another trick if you change them often is to hold the bolts in with a few mm of nitro fuel tubing instead of a nut. You can still torque down the nuts for the battery strap tight enough this way.

Is anyone running the Blitz titianum top Shaft and the Light weight Aluminum slipper. I'm thinking of picking up those two things cause i plan on buying a blitz motor plate so I can run bigger then 26t pinion.

If anyone has let me know how its working out.

Also my venom charger arrived today and the box was soaked from the rain luckly it was packaged good and isnt damaged, I would of been pissed if it was...        Also bought New Black Dish wheels cause the wheels the storm comes with stock are horrible for racing they load up with tons of dirt and the chrome peels right off and look like crap.

Does anyone that races run the Proline Gladiators or even if you ran how them well did they work, my track at my friends we race on has alot of loose top soil in some spots and others nice and smooth dirt  so Pin style tires are the tire of choice so im thinking of picking up some rears.
