Hi namewasdallas,
I suppose that I was the ''guy above'', thanks for your congrats and your help, for modding I've already started by myself with the help of a square post [img][/img] and I had to change the following:
Otherwise first modding is LARGEs front and rear bumpers [img][/img] and wheelie T-bar.
Edit after f150dan help [img][/img] to show pics

I keep extras of all of these parts on hand...My rule is if I break it once I order 2 replacements I am sure you have found the T Bone Racing bumpers and wheelie bar?

Yeap you're right but i ordered twice (2x2) for turnbuckles only, I hope that I won't kiss again a post on the mouth !
And yes I found "T-Bone Racing" bumpers and wheelie bar, they are on their way .

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
FINALLY had a chance to run everything. For a day or two, I was in heaven. Buddy of mine broke out his speed gun and clocked it at 64 mph with the LRP and MMp on 11.1 45c Reedy lipo's.
Then...
During one of the speed runs, about 55mph into a fire hydrant....
I need a new front end, pretty much, and probably wouldn't hurt to buy a new tubchassis as well....and a body. The front was shredded.

cool. nice motor, but just FYI the castle motors have been proven to have alot more torque so they're suppose to be better for bashing. great motor though.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
I wanted a high kv 550 motor that'd run 3s. The castles will all do 3s, but this had the kv range I wanted. I mainly do on road or light dirt stuff, and this fits in well. I may buy a CC 550 in the future, but this works well now.

Anyone heard of the Trinity Monster Horespower line of 550's? Up to 4s with proper gearing, supposedly. Might look into one of those later.

Namewasdallas - I like it alot, I ran a few different castle motors on the earlier sidewinders and they got too hot. We had a nice parking lot outside a bank but they put up a public services building next to it, and now its too busy to use. as for spurs some of the sprint and rs4's work as well as a few other tourers with 64 pitch.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
I"m going to do some speed runs this weekend. First I need to shorten my motor wires along with ESC wire's there super long and get hot from the resistance, which is hurting my speed. I borrowed a couple 30T + Pinions from my buddy, I think I have a 33 and 35t to match with my 77T Spur and with the 4800kv motor and my street tires It should have me around the 80-90mph range on 3s.
There's a awesome app for Droid phones it's a gps speed radar thing, I tested it in my Car yesterday and it was dead on. We hooked it up on my buddys 100mph Rustler and after the motor got hot enough to be optimal he hit 102mph!!!! and this rustler almost weighs 15pounds....
I was compairing Motor rpm's per volt with his setup and my setup and his 2200kv on 6s, and my 4800kv on 3s spin about the same rpms 58,000 or something like that. So if I can gear up a little more I may be able to crack 100mph with Less Volts and a Higher KV, limiting factory is going to be spur gear's and pinions as I have the smallest Spur already.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
So there is something definatly wrong with my truck. I went to drive it today and it would turn, but not go. I thought maybe i just needed to re-bind it or something, so i proceeded to hold the trigger, turn the car on, wait for the beeps etc etc. Only problem is it beeped a couple times, then the beeps got real quiet. when the beeps got quiet, the ESC started smoking?!!?! i touched it to see if it was hot, and the heat sync(?) fell off... i took a couple pics of the ESC. What is the problem? ESC shot? Ive only run 10-12 batteries through it... What should i do? Contact HPI for warranty?

32d3gr33s, sorry about your luck. There hasn't been any of those ESCs blown in this forum yet so its an exception and HPI has great service.

Happened to my first one too. Wouldn't bind to anything, then the heatsink-thing fell off. Called HPI and they said send it out, had a brand new one still in the box in less than a weeks time. HPI has great CS.

Mine didn't burn up, but it shat itself. It runs for about one minute and then stops powering the motor properly. I've just replaced with a locally purchased one to ensure I'm covered for warranty.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
I'm running an MMp now. Won't ever look back.
Though,
Doing some research on it, supposedly lots of people are having problems with it connecting to LRP motors, specifically the 550's like I have, after a few packs. Says it cogs alot, even though it's sensored, and eventually just won't even run. Wandering if I made a bad pick....
Course, I don't wanna spend $200+ on an LRP esc, where half of them won't even accept 3s or higher.
