I have the sport.....I have the esc set to the lowest settings and it still wheelies from a dead stop.I once turned up the settings half way and it just spun around in circles

Another prob with his ESC is that the fan on the ESC comes off the motor by itself.

Hi guys!! Nice to find a thread delicated for E-firestorm here! I will be getting the E-firestorm 10T (Non-flux version)... Remove all the electronics. [:-] And load my Tekin R1Pro with 4800kv motor into the storm...[:-] I'll be getting the HPI option as well like Uni-drive shaft, Alu suspension mounts/braces and Alu shocks for it.

Anyone here ever kill the stock turnbuckle? I'm wondering if the stock turnbuckle are durable enough... Those HPI titanium turnbuckle is not cheap, does it justifly the cost? Please advise here...

Thanks in advance guys!!

I think you will be happy with the Havoc 8.5,Mine runs like a top on 7 cells with the 19t pinion i would say around 35 mph( i will get it checked with the gps)lots of lowend grunt and no cogging.
Runs cool to....I might try to go up to a 21t pinion and see if i can touch 40mph if the temps stay low..You might have to play around with the settings untill you get it where you like it...

stock turnbuckles are just steel turnbuckles.i replaced as soon as i got my Flux just because i wanted some color contrast.they will break with a hard enough impact.i have snapped titanium ones as well on my Savage.the choice is yours.i dont think the HPI's are that expensive compared to the Lunsfords.

Not sure being winter here the roads have sand on them and i have a traction problem,Plus my tires are now bald...Anywho dead stop for sure and maybe rolling if you turn the punch control up...you will have to see.I have my throttle control set to Expo which gives you a smooth take off instead of spinning out.If you set it to linear and turn the minimum drive settings up to 5 you should do good wheelies..What are you running for a battery?

I went with Lunsford GT2/T4 turnbuckles....Amazing

Well last night I began to build my shocks(HPI Options) and the aluminum collars are wayyyyy to loose. Yes the O-ring was installed. I purchased some new ones and will be contacting HPI regarding the issue. Also I have all four of the conposite arms on and shimmed everything with a Losi shim kit. NOW SLOP IN THIS TRUCK AT ALL NOW.

Thanks bigmd74. Guess the stock steel is enough take a pretty bad beating. [>:] I gonna upgrade to the titanium one the moment my lhs carry them in. Guess for my purpose on the titanium is for the bling look and save off some little weight off the truck.

Can anyone tell me the reason why of most 2wd truck racers like to used ribbed tire on the front instead of all round SAME as the rear. Please enlighten me as i'm still newbie on stadium truck.

Wow!! Please post some pictures of the new poison! For some tips here from my past buggy experience. It will be good to have some little free play fore/back moment on the all arms. This is to ensure that between the arms and the suspension mount have no build up dirt/dust to prevent any jam on the suspension moment.

I built mine a couple of weeks back, and the opposite is true of mine, they are almost too tight to adjust, which doesn't matter too much really, but compared to the TRF dampers on my durga they are very tight.

Cheers!

Ive orderd a set of Proline Masher tyres for the rear of my flux,...and was wondering what i have to modify to run these...(pinion, spur etc..)? The overall diameter of these masher tyres are about 1 inch more than the originals.

I was thinking maybe a 17 tooth pinion or would i need to go lower?

check your temps..if it runs too hot go down a tooth untill the temps are below 160...
