RE: Tamiya Pajero-Collective Build
Sand and dirt gets inside even when you glued them? I think it is pretty hard to get the sand inside if you actually glued the tires...

There is a vent hole on each wheel. The sand can still enter through there if you find yourself in a situation like this..
And in my CR-01 sand and dirt still get inside the tires...

RE: Tamiya Pajero-Collective Build
it was not a hard core crawler modification, though it is now more capable than stock, we focused on protecting the plastic parts and addressed all the weak points. no body/shell lift was done to retain the scale look
modifications were made by edward's custom crawler here in the philippines http://edward531.proboards58.com/
modifications:
Lifted front suspension using aluminum mounting blocks(just like the ones used in 1:1) about 4mm gained lift
extended aluminum skidplate(integrated with the stock bumpers)
driveline protection up to the transfer case
extended front dogbones
rear four link suspension with axle stiffeners(no more plastic links and trailing arms)
compact rear axle skid plate
aluminum spare tire mounting
90wt shock oil
litium grease into servo output gear(waterproof)
locked rear diff
then i used some lock to lock plasticware for my receiver and esc, i used gram lights 6mm offset wheels(extra) paired with hi-lift tires, finally i trimmed a bit of the fender so that the tires wouldnt rub in it.
and for the light kit, i used strobe lights in the headlights and fog lights. then installed aditional two bucket lights inside the front grill which is alternating then red and blue strobes inside the front window to complete the police look(here in the philippines alot of our congressmen and senators uses the pajero as their back up or escort vehicle)

RE: Tamiya Pajero-Collective Build
Tore the Pajero apart for routine maintenance. When I opened up the rear axle, sand came pouring out!! [X(] Seems strange that only one side got filled up. Will have to find a way to keep the dirt out.. any suggestions?

Junfac makes one.. you can take a look at that to compare to what you have in mind!!
ORIGINAL: Kitsune
Hmm... would anybody be interested in a mount for a real spare on the it?
Trying to get ideas for stuff to build.
