ORIGINAL: flmrustler25

Nice rustler conversion. I have to admit that I saw yours and liked it so much that I decided to try that on one of my electric rustlers and I would say it came out pretty good and it was easy but I haven't driven it yet. What do you think?
That is a pretty nice looking rustler. i dont think i could have flipped the tranny around on my pede, and the rustler is a better platform for speed and stuff. What motor would you run it it.

I also have the battery on the front to lessen the wheelies. I have also found a kit to make the B4 mid motor, i dont think i want to switch mine.

Thanks,
Dean

Only reason I never went with that setup is because of the amount of chassis space you lose. I was considering it but went for a protective wheelie bar and moving the batts a bit forward instead. How much better does it run with that setup?

Well, i ran it at ocrc yesterday. It turns in good, off power and is fast. but you have to have a smooth trigger finger. but its still a ruslter. After driving my B4 it felt like a tank. but it was the fastest car there.

I did a crappy conversion of mine
not very long term but im improving it

this might provoke some more ideas
basically its a motor from and old tamiya super hornet with the stock pinion gear (18t)
and an upgraded hitec esc
it works great but as you can see the motor mount needs serious improvement but hey its works and its a start

Oh and the battery sits on the front
held by that blue velcro strap...
