Axial says it'll probably be ready after the holidays.

How about this? Pro-Line is going to release a new 1.9" tire soon based off the 2.2" Flat Iron.

One last thing. I don't have any pictures of it yet but supposedly Tamiya is about to release a "Chrome Edition" (Metallic Special Edition?) of the Super Clod Buster.

metallic CLOD[:-]....this one is pretty interesting news...but also the Axial truck look like another battle has just started...trail rigs...nice looking, and their success will depend on the price they will list (CR-01, Creeper, Summit, etc, etc in the same arena)...but looks like it's gonna have some easy crawling capabilities too (it's a family legacy, right ?)

in Tamiya spirit I don't think...the wheels was already chromed on regular kit...a bling bling chassis will be nice either...

From what I've heard it'll be priced the same as the Axial AX10 kit. There are actually quite a few parts from the AX10 that were used in the SCX10 including the axles and transmission which is nice because then parts will be easily available for it.

I'm thinking its possible that the bumpers and other blue parts will be chromed as well, or at least thats what I'd like to see happen. However if you look at Tamiya's history with this sort of thing it'll probably just be the body. I'd like to see them make all of the parts in the kit available in chrome like CCP did back when it was first released. I can't believe Tamiya hasn't done that long ago, I think they'd be good sellers. Think about it, how many people who bought the kit wouldn't go ahead and buy a set of chromed gearcases and axles for it? It would be like Tamiya is selling you the truck twice...LOL

I don't think it's impossible. CCP used to sell all of that stuff in chrome.

BTW Tower and RPP have the CR01 Wranger available for pre-order. I think Tower is $440 and RPP has it for $389. RPP is also taking pre-orders on the SCX10 for around $260.

I must say, a mini E-Revo would be quite delectable.

Traxxas has a ton of stuff coming out . One that i thought is interesting is the new 2.4ghz radio. they finally jumped up with it . The price for it is a lil steep.
Then they are releasing a new trail truck The "Summit"with a 750 can motor and a third channel locking diff for the axil. It also has built in leds . very interesting lil truck Oh and beadlock rims . Her is the video link http://www.traxxas.com/products/promo/5610_promo.htm
Oh and yes the new Brushless ERevo with the 2.4ghz radio. I had talked with traxxas Friday about some things and was able to get out that the Emaxx is soon to follow the Erevo with the Brushless and 2.4ghz. Of course a much more pricey item but you pay to go fast!

It will only be time before all manufactures are going to have a 2.4ghz radio. i think it is the best thing for racing/crawling or any kind of event for that matter.
I have been a race promoter for a couple years and man when you have 150 entrys that are on fm or am it is a pain in the tush. I'll be glad when we can make it a mandatory thing .
You want to race then have a 2.4ghz type radio.

Oh on another note I have heard through the grapevine that HPI is doing some research and Develpoment on a Small Block Savage.
There are a ton of guys around here on the east coast that have converted a older savage to a small block savage and are racing them. So I do understand they are looking at the truck and talking to folks to see if that is what they are interested in.

I could go on and on about some other items but I have to be carefull on what i talk about . I know way to many folks in the R/C world that know me and we all talk.

welp enough today I think I have shared enogh new info .

Here's the thing about 2.4GHz though. How many are actually compatible / interoperable? We already have a few competing systems, I don't think the Futaba stuff (FASST or whatever it's called) works with the spektrum stuff, and so on. We need to demand standardization and soon, otherwise it's going to end up a total hodge-podge and at some point in the future you might even see propietary protocols that don't "play well" with the others in terms of interference or band utilization.

A mini E Revo, and an electric Slayer built on the same chassis! I gotta get one of those. I just said something about how easy it would be for Traxxas to do that in the Slash thread a few days ago. I think those small trucks are pretty darn cool. Especially the 1/36 scale Losi models. They need a 1/36 scale Slash. Id rock that.
