Tune for performance, not temperature. Engines can run upto 270+ and be best there than others. So far if you can keep the engine idling and running consitenly without overheating (300+) you're good to go.

Very nice nismo847. I have the same body. I see you only have a small hole for the heatsink of the motor. That is OK or need to make more bigger.

for the previous tuning issue,
keep your hsn where it doesnt cut off. You shouldnt have to adjust that to get it to start and idle. The lsn affects idle and starting the most...so try tuning that, that might solve ur issue of doing that major 1/4th of adjusting. Or you motor can act that way because it hasnt warmed up yet to running temps.

Rushracer,

I've got the same problem with mine. I've used sanding paper to sand the inside of my clutch bell as well. It helps a bit. I've also tightened and loosened the nut on the clutch.

I've seen on other forum that some guys are using the mtx3 clutch assembly.

Does anyone know how to fix this on this car?

Depending on the engine, use the included shims : two silver, two bronze. Tighten the adjuster nut till you see two threads or so. That worked really well when I had the Rody V12. You may have to adjust your low end needle as well since most have the clutch really tight, then lean out the low end to compensate for it - it will not work. For the MT12 I had to drop one shim to increase clutch gap, but it was still pretty tight. You wan't to get it between .3mm and .9mm. Too much clutch gap and the clutch weights (the 4 pieces) will come loose. Play around with it and see what works.

Like I said, setup the clutch bell. Play around with those little shims HPI includes. To check clutch gap, tug outward gently on the CB. Take a look on a ruler or so just to see how much is 1mm. Clutch gap should be between that.
