Ok I am pretty sure I have decided on the Castle Creations Mamba Max set. You get the motor and ESC for the same price as the Novak GTB ESC plus you can use it with the computer. lol, that's what really got me haha.

I'm looking at these TRF Dampers with the fluorine coating. It dosen't say they will fit the TT01 but I have a feeling they will. Am I right?

Thanks for the O-ring tip.
Here's one of my tips: the Tamiya swaybars fit loose in the aluminum bracket.......shrink some heat shrink tubing over the sway bars' center.....that takes up the loose fit.

Not sure if there are any on-roaders in the forum or not but here's a link to a vid of our local tt-01 spec race yesterday.

That is cool driving! Was it necessary to lap the slowest cars to win the race? I find that is the greatest risk of getting involved in a crash. If not necessary, I prefer to hang back and wait till they make a mistake because you are on their tail.

Whats up Chris how is it going man. I have not been back to the track in a while. The Reedy Race is happening here on Thursday so I will be going out to see that, an hopefully get to the track sometime this summer to get some practice in. Going to buy a transponder also. It amazes me that the cost of it used is almost as high as it brand new. Well might as well get a brand new one. How is your car doing.

Hey Dfiantii, good to see you are still around. It is autumn now and it is cold and wet the last couple of weekends. Have not spent much time on the track either. Only managed a few practice runs with my 4.1 gearing. The car runs fine and I hope to do well in summer. In teh mean time I have been working on my F201. It is hard to get parts for an obsolete model. I think it is worth it, because it is such a beautiful model. Last time I was on the track with it I actually heard the wheels squealing. It was awesome. never heard that before with an rc car. I also have to get some new batteries. Put my old nicads to rest and get nimh. What charger do you have?

I have a dynamite vision peak 2 charger but I have been looking to get a better one just don't know which one and I really don't want to have to lug around a charger and a power supply. I am thinking about buying the 3racing hauler bag the same one like the bigger TeamMagic f10 since its cheaper than the F10. I picked up some batteries on rctech for sale and a novak discharger as well. The guy who sold it to me even threw in a Tekin g11 speed controller so I am debating whether I want to use it in the TT-o1 or keep my LRP Quantum Pro 7 turn limit one in there. I bought universal shafts for the fronts so I would have spare axles and dogbones and I bought a new ball diff so I would have a spare one of those to. So I have been filling in holes and redrilling. The price you pay for having a plastic model you know. I can't get to the track now since the Reedy race is starting on Thursday here. I am still running the 58/23 gearing wondering if i switch to the 58/24 will it make a difference. I have also rotated the motor to the C holes for the motor mount so i think I am at a 6.28 I think. Right now need to break in the ball diff a little then go back in there tighten it down and back off a little then it should be set. Yeah man bury the nicads. Now that lipo is out maybe nimhs will be a little cheaper but don't hold your breath.

LOL i know m8 i learnt the hard way too when i first got mine i didnt have much rc stuff so a m8 lent me his no limit esc and a 13turn mod motor great i thought he was saying how fast it would go...5mins into the run TWAAAAANG the car comes limping back running rwd only, take the shell off, the propshaft was missing,,searched the road bingo found it shaped like a boomerang LMAO how it managed to escape the shell i still dont know, ran the kit on rwd for a few days waiting for the new ali prop shaft, then my mate asks "u did install upgrade bearings right?" DAMN ordered them next and finally added new shocks too
I suppose its one way of learning by breaking parts

The only part ive never seen the need was the metal motor mount ive ran 10turn motors geared high and have never melted or warped the plastic stock one strange..

im not really sure how to say this...I just got a RTR Nismo Coppermix TT-01D and I love it! ...this thing is a drifting beast for a first timer...but I wanna be able to race down roads..and im a little less then dissappointed with its top speed......I would like it to go faster...I was wondering what Hop-Ups could I get to increase its accel/Top end speed? with hop-ups in mind....I am also on a small budget...so Im seeking pretty much a few parts under 40-60 dollars to improve its speed ....I hear Metal ball bearings/Alum Shaft / bigger battery are good bang for buck speed on this...Im not looking for absurdly fast..but fast enough to Oooh&awwww on lookers with drift/speed

usually constant beeping is no signal from transmitter to reciever m8 check your leads are in correctly etc i set my ESC up using the extra battery pack then once set, i set it up to run directly from main battery.

which is a good lipo to go 100+mph??
check a few pages back someone got 80mph on lipos but they need a lot of upgrades and mods to hit over 80mph the carbon chassis is a must and a good BL/lipo setiup and plenty of voltage running
