Here is mine - no mods other than the HPI wheels and tires. Mostly a shelf queen, bought it for the body.

Sun in the UK - I had to be very quick!

I have never tun the M03R, I stole the shocks off it for my TA05 project, kept the aluminium uprights etc. I saw no advantages over the other M03 I have (no pics, sorry!) it has a ball diff, totally ballraced and all sorts of other hop-ups. I found it worked ok with a 19T, but I don't want to wreck the tires too quick! I have some slicks for it, haven't fitted them yet.

Chris.

Fantastic car, probably one of the best shells you can get for it!

Agreed.

Looks 1:1 in scale. Great to build. I think I am going to get the VW Beetle next - looks like the same scale realism.

For the Beetle it is a M-03L - long wheel base. I don't think it would fit, but you could try.

in that case, i will just get the mini instead lol

RE: ultimate M chassis thread

the beetle was an M-02L/M-04L so i dont know if it would line up with the M-03 body posts.

them wheels are here: http://www.hpieurope.com/gallery_dis...=tcwhl&lang=en

i have them in black, but remember you can only fit one special made (HPI) tyre to it.. so if you like a certain tyre its tough luck.

Hey C.A.R where did you get that 06+ civic body?

C.A.R. 10-24-2007 03:09 AM

RE: ultimate M chassis thread

The new Civic is available from Team Atlas, who make an M-chassis-sized 4wd chassis. It fits perfectly on an M03 though; as you can see:D

I want that Ferrari now....

Chris.

RE: ultimate M chassis thread

should i get a ABS LB lid or a parma lexan?

rcluke 10-28-2007 07:53 AM

RE: ultimate M chassis thread

it depends on wether you want handling and performance, or a solid, longer lasting shell (lexan is lighter = better performance), (longer lasting = ABS)

Nasher 10-28-2007 11:11 AM

RE: ultimate M chassis thread

i have lexan paint could i use it on abs or should i get diff paint for abs?

thats sweet, i love the price, what colour are you doing it?
is that for your trailer?

Nasher 10-28-2007 05:06 PM

RE: ultimate M chassis thread

well, since i am going abs instead of lexan it'll be blue and white with VF-101 Reapers on the side in red so i will have a whole red white and blue thing going on. this is gonna be on the trailer pulled by my 1/10th-1/18th rock crawer.
