When you say wire do you mean which pins, or do you mean what interface to use?

For the pins

http://users.belgacom.net/TX2TX/tx2t...h/tx2txgb7.htm

You need to use pins 2 & 3 for FMS

If you are using XP or windows 2000 then you need a pic based interface, usb or joystick interface otherwise any of the serial/LPT interfaces will work.

You may experience problems obtaining the plug for the 6exa, If have them in stock, but currently only ship in the UK.

You only need 2 wires for the interface, the ground and signal out. ie pins 2 & 3.

Hi

The printer port will not work under XP.

You need a pic based unit, USB or games port unit. ( the games port I have seen to build yourself require you to program a pic). I will find the links and post later.

But i belive you can by pass the problem xp has with the parrael post by useing ppjoy and there is another software that links into it i think the link all the stuff is on this site. |Plus i also belive it will allow you to use your joystick with other progs as well

http://www.geocities.com/deonvdw/PPJoy.htm

K can someone check it out to see if it works.

now the next question is the actual wiring of the inferface the reson i am trying to push this is i do not have the stuff to build and program a pic chip.

So which version is correct when wiring a lead for this transmitter.

A pin 2 )------------------| 680 Ohm |---------*--------------------( Pin 10
+---------+ |
|
-----
Right-angle socket / Parallel-
on transmitter /\ ZPD 4,7 Port on
/ \ PC
------
|
|
B pin3 )--------------------------------------*--------------------( Pin 18

or is it

Or

Or

Or

|Which one will work as you can see i am getting confused by all these different diagrams which is correct????

|So can some one double check me on this as see if this prog will make it possible to get the parrel post working with xp

Be careful I just played with it and it screwed up my printing refusing to allow it to print anything the only option was to remove it (or disable it using control panel). Not the best way for any device driver to work.

The bottom line is it does work. I have been useing my 6exa on xp for about a week and i have no problems other than sometimes i get a bit of noise and the aeroplane kicks to the side for a second. BUT YES IT WORKS.
Infact it makes your tansmitter into a joystick so you can use it with any sim

I have tried it with FMS, microsoft flight simulator 2004, Orbiter space sim ( www.orbitersim.com ) and verious others

PPJoy by design prevents any other hardware from accessing a LPT port hardware with a joystick configured. This is the proper way to write drivers - i.e. allocate a resource before you use it. Unfortunately the Windows kernel does not "open" a joystick device - so PPJoy cannot allocate the LPT port only when an application is reading the joystick.

Deon

You could be in trouble... Futaba suggests that you REMOVE the TX Crystal in cases like this, since its a computer radio you could end up with RF damage since there is nothing receiving what is being transmitted. I dont know if the 6EXA has the same problems as the 6XAS (being used on your PC or as a buddy box) But I used my 6XAS with RealFlight and I got "noise and the plane kicked sideways" and I was using the supplied RealFlight TX adapter cord. At first I didnt think anything of it until I went flying, SAME thing happed with plane as it did on the Sim, banked hard left with no input, so I email Futaba about it, they suggested that I send it in to have it looked at -- it was replaced because of "RF Damage" as they put it. Since then I take the TX crystal out before using it with the Sim or as a BuddyBox.
