Hovering is not easy - lots to keep track of

I have the Aerofly Pro and I can hover with the plane's canopy towards me but when the belly is towards me, it's hard to reverse the rudder and elevator in my mind. I'm starting to get the hang of it little by little but man this is not easy. It's only the third night I've been practicing so I should relax I guess.
I have been able to torque roll a few times but most of the time I get the elevator and rudder crossed over when the plane turns. Then I crash. Man have I crashed a lot of planes. I tell you what though, when spring comes around I will be an entirely different flyer. This simulator is really that good.

P.S. Another thing that I want to master is rolling harriers. Reversing the elevator and rudder every time you roll is quite a trick to master. I saw another guy do it in this simulator and he made it look so easy. It's not.

What do you need to see the thumbs for on either one of these manuvers. They can be explained to you a million times but every plane is different and its all about getting the feel for the stick.

It's amazing how much practice it takes to do this. I'm getting to the point that if I don't think about it I can keep the plane vertical even when the canopy is turned away from me (while it's torque rolling). If I think too hard then I fall out from reverse input (wrong input). Also it's hard to keep the plane's canopy pointed towards me with out rotating (torque rolling). It seems like I use the ailerons just to keep it vertical instead of keeping the wings parallel to my face. Maybe I'm not doing it right but I can keep the plane in a hover, just can't keep it from torque rolling.
Also I'm starting to get the rolling harrier elevator and rudder inputs right. It's pretty cool. It does come natural if I relax more and don't think about it.
Anyway, what a challenge. It's a darn good thing I'm doing this on a simulator. I'd go through a lot of planes if I did this with real ones.
