I can't get the Yak download to come up in the aircraft choice menu
. Do you have to have the expansion pack to get it to work? Any info is appreciated!

Josh, I made a new folder with the exact name of the download Yak55sp and un-zipped the file into this folder. Check to see that you do not have a folder within a folder. When you open the folder Yak55sp the files should be in there. I don't have the expansion pack and mine works. This should work.

Airplanenuts, I did what you said, but when I went to AFP the Yak was not available as an airplane choice. I didn't have a folder within a folder so, I am at a lost. I know I am not too computer stupid, so I believe I have done everything correctly. Thanks for the help.

Josh, what file names do you have in the folder Yak55sp? Have you read and followed the instructions in the read-me file? Here is the e-mail address of the creator. Maybe he can help, too. [email protected] Keep trying!

The files in the Yak55sp folder are: Black.jpg, Blue.jpg, Default.jpg, eng.jpg, Orange.jpg, Stand.jpg, Yak55sp.jpg, Yak55sp.obj, Yak55sp.tmd, Yak55sp.tmg, Yak55sp READ ME.txt, YakBits.bmp, Yakengin.bmp, YakFuse.bmp, YakWings.bmp, and the Skins Folder. I will email Bansheepilot and see if he can help too. Thanks for all the help!

The folders and names should all extract properly from the zip file and should just need to be placed in the AeroflyPro/Aircraft/ folder.
If this still does not slove the problem try going to Ipacs site and downloading the latest update.
http://ipacs.de/aerofly/download.html
I have updated the plane so that the differnt AFP versions should not effect the install.

Josh, the only one you're missing is the thumb bitmap which is what comes up in the AFP menu. Post your e-mail address and I will send it to you. Make sure your firewall allows attachments.

How close to the real YAK 55 model is the simulated aircraft in terms of flying performance?
If the real one is as good as the simulated aircraft I better start saving money right away.

Red, goto Joe Nall this year. There will be a couple there. Last year there was one. My buddy told me it was right on the money. Honestly, I love the plane, but I like em a little bit more snappy like Chips plane.
Oh, by the way. It's going to cost you no less the $8,000-$10,000 to build this plane, the right way.

I HAVE TO AGREE THE YAK AND THE EXTRA 330 ARE MY FAVORITES I DONT MODIFY THEM BECAUSE I DO NOT KNOW ENOUGH ABOUT THEIR TRUE FLIGHT CHARACTERISTICS TO ASSUME HOW THEY SHOULD FLY. SO I KEEP THEM ALL THE WAY THE PROGRAM SETS THEM AND I HAVE A BLAST. SOOOO MUCH MORE OF A TOOL THAN RF I CANT BELIEVE IT. I HAD RF FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND THEN GOT AFP, IT WAS LIKE LEARINING ALL OVER AGAIN EVERYTHING I THOUGHT WAS REAL WASNT I HAD TO CHANGE EVERYTHING I LEARNED IN RF. AFP IS DA BOMB!!!!IMO.
