Has anyone got there CSM v10 sim working with windows XP?. I have tried it on 3 different computers and I can't get it to work (they all have XP). I went to there web site and downloaded the patch for XP but it don't work (or I should say, I can't get it to work) and I followed the instructions to the letter. I email CSM and they are telling me (in not so many words), there is nothing we can do for you. They tell me that I can boot it up in Dos, but I don't won't to do that because it doesn't remember the setting, you have to set it up each time you turn it on. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong (if I am doing anything wrong) and how I can make this thing working. Thanks guys
P.S
I should say that when I had windows ME it worked great.

Have had the same problems, and never could solve them.
Booting from DOS can be a problem too because the sim does not fit on one flop and my harddisk is NTFS which is not supported by DOS. Also the monitor signal (resolutions above 640x480) that is put out is not recognized by the TFT monitor.
Using AFP now.

Hi,
i finally got CSM V10 to work on my winXP. I dont know exactly what the problem was, but I guess putting the 2 versions V10_16.zip & V10_xpUK.zip did it.
The first package with the WinXP LPT port fix and the second finally solved the graphic problems. In addition I enabled the winXP "compatibility mode" for the file "XPHELI.BAT" wiht the following options enabled: compatibility mode for win95, run with 256 colors, deactivate visual designs.
So now I have a working CSM on my machine and I'm happy
I'm using a clean winXP, that means, only the (integrated) SP1 is installed.
Feel free to email / contact me (ICQ: 62316439) , maybe I can help you, but maybe not

On the CSM support page:
http://www.rcmodels.org/csm/v10.htm
3/4 of the way down will tell you how to run CSM with XP.
