pauluk2w,
Come on, man. The kid just got out of the hospital. Have a little compassion.

It's a joke man. Scott's smart enough to figure it out. I was given him the benefit of the doubt. He might very well earn his own funds. If his folks got it for him, more power to him. I wish I got stuff like that when I was a kid. Heck I wish for stuff like that now that I'm an adult. At least I try to pretend to be. ;-)
Scott, I hope your improving fast. Being sick sucks. You can have all the toys in the world, and it won't make up for bad health. People your age are too young to be going through bad stuff like that. I truly wish you the best.

Lee Snover

if you want to be adopted, come on over, im sick of being an only child
i got some pics of what they did to me at the hospital, i was in for 2 weeks from last monday, for a really bad case of pneumonia. I had plurisea too, and that caused my side to swell up with fluid, and after they drained it, it turned out to be 2+ liters of fluid.
WARNING! Some may consider these pictures gross.
The tube in the picture is actually the second one they put in after my surgery, they went in with a camera and vacuum to suck out the stuff that wouldn't drain. The 2nd last is when they pulled out my PICC line, an IV that goes from my elbow to the top of my heart, and the last is my dad and me enjoying the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. I actually got to keep some of the drainage as a souvineir, and the PICC line, which is 18 and 1/2 inches long.
Merry Christmas!

I had a chest tube installed once! Busted up ribs, punctured lung from hard hockey check. Looked just like it!
It's not fun when they yank that thing out!

Dion... I got a question. When using the interface sim...does the TX need to be in perfect cond? If not having a backup battery like in a JR X347 a big deal? This TX has a round hole for trainer/dsc input in the back. What can one expect with the controls like dual rates ...ect...ect on the Radio as far as using it to use the simulator? Thanks John

But I can still use dual rates and mixes. AFP will translate whatever your own radio will as far as mixes, rates, expos and so forth right out of the box.
So to answer your question the radio does NOT have to be perfect! As long as you can calibrate the working sticks and switches, you're all set!

I am glad you guys got yours , i ordered mine and it was shipped last Monday or Tues according to ups , and i got the 2 day shipping. Still hasnt arrived , has reschedduled 2 times now. Suppose to be here Monday. 6 days certainily isnt 2 days be any means. I just wonder if the snow storms had something to do with the delay? I am just getting the regular Aeropro version, i hope the graphics are nearly as good as the deluxe, will upgrade later.

It was the snow. It was bad enough to even screw up our Next Day Air service (FedEx too!). I drive for UPS and it missed us down here, but virtually the entire roadway between you and Ohio had problems. Christmas week is just not a good time for a blizzard. My own copy just went out, delayed by the weather.....

I just got AFPD and it looks great. However, I have a few questions that I was hoping someone could answer as I am basically a novice. I am trying to use my Realflight G2 controller. Everything seems to work except for the throttle. The engine will run at about a third throttle when you start the simulation but the throttle stick will not adjust the engine speed. Also, I have a Futaba 6 EXA that I want to use also but I am not sure what I need. It seems like I may need some kind of an adapter. The G2 controller and the EXA radio have the same square plug in the back. Not sure what I need to hook these up. Also, I have two USB ports on the side of my monitor and I have to have the AFPD USB plugged into one and the G2 USB plugged into the other. I figure I am not doing something if not several things right and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

well, to answer the first q... Have you calibrated the controller?Try doing it again if you have. I use several different controllers on mine and everyone has to be calibrated different. Maybe you need to assign a different channel to the throttle...... You might try that if it doesn't work at all... Sounds more like this is the problem though. Also, yes I believe you need the adapter for the futaba radios... It's cheap and available... Good luck, Chris

I loaded AFPD on my wife's Dell Dimension 2350. Has 1 1.7 Ghz Celeron processor with three PCI slots and on-board graphics - no AGP slot. FPS was 6 to 10, slow simulation. After checking the price of a new computer, I decided to try an ATI Radeon 9200 graphics card with PCI connector for $89+. FPS went up to 27 to 116, dependent upon options and scenery. Beats buying a new computer. Beats G2.
