Mike:

Can you PLEASE tell me how the 3D High Alpha flight instuction is? What specific maneavers to they offer to teach, and how well does it do 3D compared to G2?

Thanks!

lsnover,
I just looked and its not on the main disk. Right now I am trying
to load all 5 of the add-on's but the first two disk like G2 do not
have serial numbers on them. And I used to use the number off
the MAIN disk but it doesn't work on G3 I have called tech support
and don't think they will ever call back ,
Anyways I think the 3D stuff is on the other disk.. I will let you know
if I can ever get them loaded.

Cougar:

Do the other disks with SNs on them install OK? I noticed no SNs on my 1 and 2 also, and was wondering if there would be a problem loading them with G3, since I don't have G2...suspicions confirmed...bummer.

YES!, the other disks work... 3 , 4, & 5 ONE AND TWO will not load..
Funny , I just got a robot email from them saying...

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR SERIAL #s to install add ons 1 or 2?
Add ons 1 and 2 use the serial #s from your classic, deluxe or G2, and
do not have their own serial #s. Please use your serial #s which include
-RF- , -U2-, -G2-, or -RD- serial # to install your add ons.
Anyways I will get this figured out..

The flight instruction for 3D covers the following:
[ul][*] Avalanche[*] Cuban 8[*] Elevator[*] Golf Fish[*] Harrier[*] Humpty Bump[*] Inverted Spin[*] Knife Edge[*] Lomcevak[*] Rolling Circle[*] Snap Rolls - Full and Half[*] The Wall[*] Torque Roll[*] Waterfall
[/ul]

One thing I have noticed with the sim that I really don't like is how the physics in knife edge flight. The planes are not maintaining altitude with rudder input on knife edge or axial rolls.

Torque rolling with the Yak-54 is very hard. The plane wants to flip on its back too easily.

The sim has a Yak-54 which looks like it is the 3D machine for the sim but it does not appear to handle like my Extreme Flight Yak-54.

The graphics are excellent, but if you don't have excellent physics, the pretty graphics are useless.

Man...nice card.

Brilliant! What if I don't have anything but the add-ons (just bought them) and G3 coming? I can't use add-ons vol. 1 and 2? They are going to have to do better than that. I can't believe they didn't think of this...anybody have any other suggestions?

Maybe they can send me some SNs? I'm on the email trail...RIGHT NOW!

Someone mentioned that there was a gyroed Yak, that was way too easy to hover/TR. Prolly not that one, then!

Have you played with the flight parameters any for more rudder authority or more power and such?

I would try entering the G3 Serial number for AO 1 & 2.

Good luck,

Carl

Charles,

After playing with the thows for the different control surfaces, I have gotten the yak to fly pretty well. I do like how the plane is flying and I do feel the potential is there to have a really great plane/sim.

I do like all the options provided for tweaking the planes. As many users that will be flying G3, it will only be a matter of time before some very good flying planes are available on the G3 swap page.
