I know that AFPD comes with a cable that will allow you to use your own transmitter. I also know that in January a version of AFPD is going to be released that comes with controller. So the question is, if you get the version with the controller, would you be able to get a cable and then use your transmitter with it? OR if you get the controller version are you stuck forever using the controller only? Haven't been able to find the answer to this so was hoping someone might know.

Yes you will. However you will have to use one of the FMS type PIC or Simblaster cables. I'm trying to find the best possible source for you guys. Right now there a bunch of them on the famous auction site. Just type in FMS PIC any of them that work for FMS will work for AFP Deluxe.
You must still have the Commander or Interface plugged in to use them.

FMS..... If you have the cables for FMS....does that mean your good to go? I sure wish I had a good use for the Dave Brown unit I paid big bucks for. Never did get the sound to work. The thing was/is a joke. What a waste of $$$ and the only thing it did good was too line Daves pockets.

If it works for FMS it will work as the 1st or 2nd controller for AFP Deluxe and AFP Deluxe Commander.
However you must still have the Commander or Interface plugged in to activate the program.
