Default Mini Giles rocks!

Rodeo this mini Giles is just awesome! I think I have a new favorite plane for AFP.

So far I added 60 deg on rudder and CG to .5.

Put the rudder propwash at 100.

Voltage per cell 1.5.

Thanks again Rodeo !!! Keep them coming.

If anyone else has some input on this model ... post it here.

Hopefully Maarten will tune in.

Maybe I'm missing something, but clicking on the download link gets me:

http://www.aeroflypro.com/.../OMPEdgeHybrid.zip

which is the full-size model. Not that I'm complaining, but that's not what I expected.[]

I goofed up a couple parameters. Make these changes.

Rudder: Propwash 100

Elevator: Propwash 50 each side
Elevator: Throw 50 each side

Keep all the rest the same.

That file will overwrite the previous version of the fuel powered plane with the same file name as downloaded a few months ago???[X(]

The plane works fine however don't be alarmed because apparently it is the wrong file. Always read the "read me" file for installation[>:]. I always unzip in a folder outside AFP. Then I copy the extracted folder and paste it on top of the word "Aircraft" in AFP. In my case it says this plane already exists[sm=spinnyeyes.gif]. Probably just a mistake in uploading to the site. Won't do any damage unless you allow it to overwrite a plane you have modified. No biggie because it warns you prior to the overwrite[sm=confused.gif]. Just say no. LOL
I have a folder that contains a copy of all my AFP plane files just in case of a little human error[sm=idea.gif].

The Mini Giles is at Rodeo's site under AFPD downloads.

I'm totally addicted to this Mini Hybrid now .... it's fun! It's like getting a new plane everyday.

Gonna have to do this will all the OMP planes I guess.

Dion....I have it flying in AFP already[X(]. I had to change two values in the beginning of the TMD file to make it appear in AFP. Is this supposed to work in Deluxe only?[sm=pirate.gif]. It performs great!

I'm sure Rodeo will jump in with the fix and we'll re-upload it tomorrow.

Thanks for the tip.

I can email you the number to change to let it work in AFP[sm=bananahead.gif]. Also I have a number that allows smoke on with electrics. Weird but looks good[sm=lol.gif].

Hi Bowser,

the mini Giles was done for AFPD, I didn't even test it in AFP. But if it works, even better. I know I have to change the version number.
But if I add smoke by default, I will get a bunch of emails complaining about this unrealistic feature

Dion, yes let's try to 'shrink some more OMP planes to mini size. It must look very funny to have a slowflyer with such a thick wing profile.

Hi Rodeo...All work great in AFP using the method you mention and I would never publish any "how to" information between AFP and Deluxe without permission. I have the smoke on a switch and we both know what number I changed to get that. I only tried it because I noticed you left the muffler on the electric OMP Edge[sm=idea.gif]. I think they fly better than the engine versions.

Hi Bowser,

you are absolutely right.
Without access to the 3D model, I could not change the geometry but did the scaling on the obj and tmd file. Some more will follow soon I guess

Rodeo, you can shrink them all, no problem.

They are as much fun to fly as their larger counterparts. We'll just call the motors electric that look like glow!
