I have G3 and it works pretty good. Movements are fine, but would like a little smoother looking grafics. What cards are people using. Mine is Gforcefx420 with 64mb. Don't want to spend a fortune. I have p4 at 2.4 with 512ram.
I have a problem with G3 when it opens. I have to reset defaults or it will shut down. Then you have to redo everything over again. I other words you can't save anything you have changed. Also couldn't get on their website all day.
I'm new to this. Got it to practice my 3D stuff. Any advice would be appriecated.

I went with a Radeon9550. Not top of the line but works better than my GeForce 5200 with G3. Not sure why you're having the problems you are. If you have high speed access, download the heli update. There are a few fixes and two different 3D airplanes for you to practice with. The YAK 54 with 3D surfaces and throws and a CAP 232 electric 3D.

Hi Jim,
Break out some serious bread!!! X800XT PE or the X850XT PE are the only cards that can even be able to run G3, and then you still have to turn down all of the items, then pick the haybale field Scenery to get any FPS. The program is nice, however you need a very powerful PC to run.
Heli's now fly correctly, except for rolls and loops. XTR is much better for Heli's, but G3 is nipping at their heels!!!
AFPD is also a great program.
I know you asked about G3, but give Knife Edge Software time, and they should have it fixed.... I hope!!!

Gotta dispell this rumor before it starts again. We support many other video cards besides the X800XT PE and the X850XT PE. Of course, the higher-end video cards will get you a better frame rate. Just for comparison, I am running an ATI 9600 and getting 24 FPS with everything turned on.
Here is a list of supported cards:
NVidia
GeForce2MX
GeForce4MX
GeForce3
GeForce4TI
GeForceFX 5200
GeForceFX 5700
GeForceFX 5800
GeForceFX 5900
GeForceFX 6800
ATI
Radeon 8500
Radeon 9000
Radeon 9200
Radeon 9600
Radeon 9700
Radeon 9800
Intel
Intel Extreme (845G)
As for your problem Jim, is the card you have FX or MX? If it is MX, then it should work with the latest update. http://www.realflight.com/helis.html
