Connecting a Fut 8UAF to a ReaL Flight G2 interlink controller..

I am trying to use my Futaba 8UAF transmitter instead of the simulators trans. to get the feel of using the transmitter that I fly my models with while practising on the sim.
I have made all the obvious connections with the adaptor cords supplied but can't get my transmitter to work. Could someone walk me through the process. Thanks.

Make sure you have selected PPM mode while using the sim, otherwise it can't see your radio. You need to cycle the power switch to change modes. BEFORE you go back to the field, (I do it right after I'm done on the sim) change back to PCM.
Hope this solves your problem.

Hi Dan 767, thanks for your response, but I am unfortunately still not getting it. My transmitter does not have a PCM feature it is the FM/PPM version.
Here is what I have done and maybe you can tell me what steps I am missing.
1) Turned on the sim.
2) Connected my FM trans to the sim via the connection cables supplied.
3) Turned on the FM trans to an unassigned channel and still no go.
Question, can the transmitter to be used work without battery power like the sim's.

At the top of the screen when you have G2 running you need to press on options, then press controller calibration and you will see controller type click on the arrow and you will see two controller types you need to click on the interface one and should work fine, i am also using the 8uaf so it should with no problem.Hope this helps.
