This is the question that will never be answered!!!!! I think it's funny. But at least it proves that all three major simulators; AFPD, Reflex XTR, and RealFlight G3 are fairly close. There's not one or two that are way better than the others. I think all three have different things to offer, and all three are "Good Simulators". All are fun, and all will teach you how to fly better than before you got them.

I personally own Reflex XTR. I think most everyone will agree the better sim for heli's at least (My major interest). I love it but haven't tried the others. Anyway.[X(]

I also think it's funny when you see a post that say's "G3 Is the better simulator in my opinion." And exactly two post below that you see "Anyone else wish they didn't buy G3". LOL.

It kinda reminds me of grade school when we use to get into arguments over who's dad could beat up some one else's dad, and there was never really a final decision. Everyone just stuck by there argument to make themselves feel better. [sm=punching.gif]

Your downloads really kick butt!! I just installed G3 last night and I am having a blast!! I have a Radeon 9200, and all I did was turn off the clouds and the thing is amazing!!

YEP!! cracks me up..I love when one person says how realistic AFP or G3 is...NONE of them are realistic..basically they are just video games but what they DO is let you practice so you can get the stick inputs memorized..this makes things easier at the field..also keeps you sharp when you cant fly often..I like them all!!

Oh yea I like AFPD..I think its the most realisitic [sm=bananahead.gif]

I've only used G2 so I guess it's my favorite. I have no urge to upgrade at this time.

Weve been able to "fly backwardly" with G3 since it came out 6months ago and do it online with 7 other flyers as well

Thats the original way we did it, I dont know how everyone else does it but I put movable pods in the engine area and put a helicopter rotor their, that way we have an option of having paddles or not!!!! Thats how I was hovering inverted for so long in my last video I made.

Give me a little time to redo the plane, the plane you saw has had major experiments done on it and it don't fly right right now. I almost have the wings flapping on it like a bird, except with four wings

We are gonna have some very weird flying things when the next update comes out since the airplane editor has so many things we can do to an airplane!

And there's the rub...... This thread is the perfect example of how everyone loves the simulator they have and claims it's the best without ever trying another. You could almost expand that way of thinking to most of RCU or any other Internet forum. People convince themselves that their's is the best otherwise they would be an idiot for owning it.

I like the guy who voted for the Dave Brown sim as the best, if he didn't do it as a joke he must be living on Mars.

That is the hard truth that we all have to accept! Unless of course you own numerous simulators and allow any forum friend to visit your house to play all the sims. Hey, I got an idea, what if we had a STOC (simulator tournament of computers), we could allow everyone to fly all sims and have everyone vote for their favorite!!!!! Nah, that don't sound realistic, o well[]

my vote goes to AFPD (i have only AFP but D is better so thats my vote)

However, if there was a heli or FW vote, id go XTR for heli, FULL STOP. AFPD for fixed wing, FULL STOP.

I also own reflex, the biggest thing I didnt like about reflex is you have to setup your radio for airplane and heli which takes time bc it will fly like crap if you don't do it right. Plus the 3D physics arent that great anyway! (IMO)
