Simulation > Settings > Physics > Reset Delay to 0. That will disable the automatic reset feature.

I dont see why everyone wants to disable the auto-reset...
Why would you want to just look at the crashed plane for 10 minutes?

As in .426, .430 ground-handling is unacceptable to me. The planes will not turn. They act as if they are sliding on ice. Guess I'll tweak the parms and see if that helps. Lots of planes are affected, though.
As for auto-reset, don't care for it. Nice that it may be disabled.

My planes doesn’t always stop when landing them, but keeps sliding forever, or until they hit something

I always found the old versions ground handling too touchy...guess it comes down to personall preference and they way you have your real plane setup..

I'm not sure whether this is just with the new planes or the update, but whenever I touch any part of the plane to the ground too hard, the motor quits. Kind of a pain when you're tail touching

I prefer touchy ground-handling. I prefer touchy airplanes. I like .410. I don't like .430. I'm sure there are many who do like .430. Just my opinion, which, of course, only matters to me! [>:]

I can't find anything wrong with this new update except it messed up some of my planes. When I was editing them back, the edit menu has really improved. About the only thing that I can think of to completely blow all other sims out of the water, would be to make an addon for creating your own models and painting them. I know it can be done now with the right stuff, but it's be sweet to be able to do that with an easy to understand program made specifically for G3.

Another thing that would make it better is to beable to swap the models directly while in multiplayer.
Just think. You are in multiplayer, someone has a model they are willing to share and they just send it to you through multiplayer rather then having to minimize and go into your email etc.

That isnt neccessarily true. Generally when companies in the past have made/given proprietary software for creating addons for the game, it always fails. The reason is, that the better modelers have usually had experience in one of the mainstream programs. Making a proprietary software work close enough to the mainstream stuff would take so long it wouldnt be worth it. Then when you consider that the original models in the game were made in mainstream software (obviously you wouldnt write a 3d modeler to make a game) and they have already made the basis for importing and converting, it makes the descision to make a proprietary system even less appealing.
It sounds good on the surface, but after very little digging, you can start to see the cracks in the idea.
Besides, everyone knows that only about 1 in 3 copies of 3ds max are legit

I looked around the web last night to see if there are classes availible to learn 3D programming. There are several locally availible here (funny as I live in the middle of nowhere) through the community college. I should specify that the classes are accredited by the CC but they are actually offered online. I thought it might be fun to take a class and learn the basics. Then I found out the class costs 4500.00, YIKES! (they offer the 1 year version of 3Ds Max for 148.00 or so) I take classes at the CC once in a while for the heck of it, but they never cost more than a couple of hundred dollars. This class is of course a full featured, tutored, course to train you to be a game developer. I wouldnt mind seeing a course, like I said, in just the basics.

There are some good video tutorials at www.vtc.com if you subscribe for a month it costs $30 and you can then view all the videos for all the different applications.

Yes, but that still leaves the 3500.00 price for the program

And as I have found out, that program is sooooooo easy to use (Read Sarcasm here) "Texture files wrong size, must be a square of 2" get the .tga sized right, then it says "Polygon count too high", and I am sure once I have that figured out there will be another issue to stop me from converting.
