Default G3 message current surge in usb

I have been using a G3 for the better part of 2 years It is very helpful. Last week I got a message saying to stop the program my system was experiencing line surge from the G3 usb connection. Forgive vaugness here I am currently in Fla. visiting the children, too the best of my rscolection I tried to dx. ans pwrhaps repair with a "fix things wizard" but i didn't get any suggestions as how I might fix the problem. I doknow the connections are tight and I checked the wire looms inside the tx simulation the wires were well connected, insulation intact and solder joints all shinet and pretty. I would appreciate direction to resolve this "current" problem. Lee Sorry I cant use the editing features here!!

I've never heard of that error. Sounds like there might be a short in the transmitter? I'd call Great Planes and have them repair it.
