I used to have G3 and flew the snot out of the 3D yak & downloaded a great 40% Carden Extra model from KE that flew exactly like my 30% Edge. I could do every 3D trick in the book with both of them on the sim.
Fastforward 1 year later (sold G3 to a friend) and I wanted to polish some new tricks so I bought G3.5 & am shocked. The 3D yak is almost un-flyable, it snaps out of every 3D trick I try & it wont hover for crud. I went to the KE forums & all the good models are gone for download.
So, now that I'm done ranting, does anybody know where I can d'load a flyable 3D plane (preferably large scale) that actually fly's?
Did the physic's change in 3.5? Why do all the old planes that were solid in G3 snap out of everything now?
signed unhappy G3.5 owner. [:-]

That interesting!
I bought G3.5 two weeks ago and have been flying the Yak 54 (3D) and was beginning to wonder if it was too simple. I have learned to fly high alpha slow rolls, and harrier which I couldn't do. I have worked over a year at the field on torque rolls and within three or four days I was doing torque rolls withing a foot of the ground until the fuel ran out.
It just may take a little getting use to 3.5.

I did some tweaking on the Yak & got it flying a little better but it still snaps out of any high G maneuver. I changed the ele & rudder throws to 45* & bumped the prop size up to give it more thrust. It's helped quite a bit on hovers & harriers, but I'm still wishing I could find the 40% Carden model I used to have (no clue who made it, got it from KE forums)
I'm thinking it could be that I haven't used the sim in so long that is why i'm having issues. I used to be a uber flyer on the sim rolling harriers on the deck, torque rolls, etc... no problem at all but on my real planes I struggled. Now I can do the harriers, & all the tricks with my real planes and I'm struggling on the sim. hehe go figure.

Tuwood- They improved the efect of gravity in G3.5 to make planes fly more realistic.
I bought the add on 4 that has an Edge 540 and changed the color scheme to match my Goldberg 540. I reduced the mass to .9 to make it fly like my real plane. This flys much better than the Yak. The stock 540 has a 87 inch wing and weighs 23 lbs. Flys well with the 3w 70cc engine.
