I'm really trying to be patient, but for months now I have been seeing adds in R/C magazines saying that the FSOne hanger pack 1 would be out in early summer. It is now fall and there has been no further word as to when it will be released. Even the FSOne web site has absolutely no info on the Hanger pack other to say coming soon. No info is given on wich aircraft will be in the Hanger pack, or weather there will even be any more flying fields or games Etc. I have never seen such secrecy over a product that is supposedly coming out soon. This makes me think that either Horizon's add was supposed to read available early summer 2008, or the add was mearly put out to apeize all the FSOne customers whom have been complaining that they want more aircraft for their sim. I'm starting to get the impression that the folks at FSOne are nowhere near close to releasing the first hanger pack for FSOne. If thats the case they should pull thier adds and quit teasing everyone. If they are close to releasing the hanger pack, a little more info would go a long way to keeping their customers happy. As my father always said " it's time to crap, or get off the pot !" But then these are just the opinions of ONE frustrated customer.

Just my speculation, but I would think they are adding some last minute planes and helis which requires a model, video testing to verify flight characteristics and creation of an initial setup and then more testing.
They have said that the Showtime line up will be included.
If it was my choice I would love to see the New Turbine Toucan that QQ is going to offer (41" electric), the Pitts model 12 and the new Blade 400 3D heli and I will be happy to wait a little longer if they are offered.
I would also think that the New Sopwith Camel and possibly the E-Flite P38 might be included, but as you have said nothing has been released. They were asking for input as early as last winter.
They were burned earlier (mainly by users of the competitive software brands) for releasing their product "too early" and then offering patches to fix bugs. So I am thinking that they are a little gun shy with major releases and patches since people will complain either way.

I understand all to well, having a friend that owns a video game store, that a lot of software gets delayed due to glitches during beta testing and final production. Having said that though, all video game developers keep intrest in their games by constantly releasing screen shots & video clips of what they do have. Ie: Just look up Halo 3 on the internet and see what you get. I guess my point is, that by saying nothing people will just loose intrest after a while, but if they keep everyone informed, even if they do change some things prior to the final release, then they will build peoples anticipation. But so far all they have done is shown a picture of a ahowtime, and a little caption saying 10 more aircraft. Does that mean 5 planes & 5 Helis?, or 9 planes 1 helis? Im just getting to the point where I don't care anymore. Maybe Im the only one, But thats just my two cent's worth.

I've been advising in the development of a mod for a pc simulation that is very popular right now. The development was started the end of last year. The "leader" of the development group couldn't develop gas if he ate beans for a week. But he has been in the online forums the entire time explaining how the production of "good work" takes time. It's been 10 months and the public has swallowed it. Those that haven't died of old age. What work that was really needed to be done has really been done just recently by one of the guys who got tired of waiting for leadership. And it's being lost and ignored. Guess who has lost or ignored it.
Some people, groups, teams, companies have skill and talent and enough people to get the job done. Some have less than all those. How can we tell? Look at what all the competitors have promised and delivered.
And don't look for things to change radically. Good usually keeps being good. And bad..... etc

Don't get me wrong. I have been a very loyal supporter of FSOne ever since my wife gave it to me for X-mas last year, even amid the G-3 groupies I have always stated that FSOne is an awsome sim. I'm just starting to feel like all those people, back in the 90's that were told that lazer disk players were the thing of the future, only to find nobody supporting it a couple of years later. Im just starting to get a very bad vibe about FSOne, wich is a shame because I think personally that FSOne blows the doors off G-3 when it comes to realistic R/C flight simulation.

Thanks Brian,
Thats all I was really looking for. Someone from FSOne to step forward and say Something, even if its just, "development is taking longer than anticipated & we are running behind, but but things are still progressing". Judging from your promt response Brian, I can now start getting excited again... and will once again begin eagerly awaiting future enhancements to what I already feel is the best flight Sim on the market today. Please keep us in the loop, even if it's just to say "Hey we're still alive !"
Thanks !!
