Electric Fuel pump fix

The other day I noticed that the pump wouldnt draw below a half tank and made some awful noise, so I picked up a new one. The new one wouldnt even prime, which ticked me off, so I took the old one apart and found out how easy it is to fix. The pump itself is just like an oil pump on a car engine, two gears meshed together. The problem with mine was the gear attached to the shaft was loose. What I discovered is both gears are the same, so I switched them around, put it all back together, adn lo and behold, its working again. Something to think about when yours stops working, took me all of 5 minutes to fix.
Still ticked that the new pump wont prime unless I raise the tank above it, did that and shot fuel all over the place when the return hose popped off the tank once it pressurized. <br type="_moz" />
