Hi from downunder.!!!
Someone told me to mix 2.5% acetone to your fuel to help
keep the engine clean and stop oil deposits etc.
I am running a Super Tigre S2000. and would or could this damage the engine?.Also what is the best engine/oil ratio for the Super Tigre's.?.
Regards & Thanks

If you use Shell A for mixing, it already has 3% acetone in it. This is generally accepted to be a good thing, at least amongst us Aussies. Search this forum for "acetone" for more info.

As for Tigre Juice, I'm sure someone else will set you staight on this...........

Doubt acetone will make it run cleaner. Since it has less oxygen than methanol it would probably be slightly worse about leaving carbon deposits.

I think the main reason for adding acetone is that it makes tuning the engine easier. It sort of widens the sweet spot when adjusting the needle. I don't think it will clean the engine.
