Proper break in is important as well as correct oil mix. I have had no problem with a Zenoah motors.

While I am not all that familiar with the 1/6 motors yet, what you are describing is a classic case of worn piston/sleeve in nitros, or a weak plug. I am sure the symptoms are the same in these mills.

Change the plug, see if it helps.
If not it may be time for a rebuild. Do you have anyway to check your engine compression?

What air filter do you use and are you using the proper oil for it? The K&N I owned sucked dirt and so did most of my friends. Foam is the way to go in dusty conditions. Get enough dust in and power goes away.

i find it can happen if you dont let the engine idel when starting from cold although you can run it there is usually a difference in power when its had time to heat up befor a run

and by the way how many hours should i change the piston rings
