Are you both on the Island? I'm ext 36 off the LIE, let know if we can meet up and run our KM's.

I should be picking mine up from Dan tomorrow or Saturday!

i have the t1000 truck . you will like it . i was worried about buying "chinese junk" . but after reading this and the t1000 thread i made a choice on the t1000 . it is very good quality , the only problem so far is a burned out steering servo . starts easy runs real strong .

LOL, come on. Elite HPI crowd? Are you for real? These are RC cars we're talking about here, right?LOL!
Maybe I should have said elitist!! Yeah, I am for real! Since all you like to do is come in and "state facts" when you have yet to buy one is like a Chevy Guy bashing Ford when he has never owned or driven one. BTW, Ford didn't need any bailout money!!

It's so funny because this very thread started to detail the deficiencies in the KM Baja verses the HPI Baja.
Wrong, this thread was started to show the differences between he KM and the HPI Baja. In fact, it was stated in the first thread that the KM was equal if not better than the HPI version. This is what got me interested in the KM version. I read allt he posts in this thread prior to purchasing the KM and I also read up on all of the other boards and it seemed clear that n matter which version you buy, you will spend a lot of money on upgrades. Which is weird cause if their is a lot of R&D involved, you would think some of the design would have been modified or enhanced since the original(changing the color scheme and upping the cc's on the engine is the only thing I see as a big change since the original) The tires still suck and the front bulkhead could be better among other things.

But what irks me is, if KM has the ability to produce a good RC car, why not create their own design?
Why does this irk you, really? I have stated before that there are so many "clones" out in the RC market. So, if HPI comes out with a 4WD Baja that mimics a design that has already been released, what will be your opinion then?

Interestingly, I find the KM owners the more defensive than the HPI owners.
Probably because we have only few threads that are useful in all of these boards and so-called "reviewers" like to stir some stuff up when they have never owned or raced the product.

Well, it looks like I'll have to run my KM 29cc until the head kit comes in for my GP290. I am also putting wheel extenders on this weekend since I am tired of flipping my beast so much. Video is forthcoming!

Sweet can't wait to see the vid!

I have the DS extenders on my TT; are you saying I should also get a set for the T1000?

Not sure, my buddy's T1000 didn't have ay problems with flipping...I think it has to do with the aggressive Hostiles I have mounted. My Dune Runner doesnt roll much since it has a wider stance so that is my reasoning to modify my Baja.
