Well I flipped a coin and I ordered the km motor I hope it lasts I wont be driving it a ton so it should be fine. Oh and thanks for all the replys and HAPPY NEWYEAR
Why did you go with the KM over the CY when everyone said CY? [:-]
From what im reading so far the km 29cc is not bad and im not going to be running it alot plus i wont have to buy a new muffler and clutch housing.

You don't need a clutch housing with the CY and you will want to upgrade to a better muffler than the stock KM one.. the muffler that came with the CY would work just fine if you don't have a different one for now..
CY is better money spent..

Sweet; do you have a KM already?

We need to have a session when the weather clears a bit, maybe out at ext 56 do the dirt bikes and ATV still run out there?

I dont have it ready yet and the cy engine from ebay would need a new clutch housing because it does not have a mounting hole and even says it in the description.

I still think you would be fine without it, but a housing witch would help keep the clutch clean is only about 25 bucks or less
also the carb that comes with the CY is much better! Walbro WT-668 carb.
overall the CY is much better quality over the km any day of the week
in other words a no brainer of what motor is better

I went throught the same questions on this forum when my second km motor went south
and after all the great input from this site I went with this motor!
http://www.davesmotors.com/s.nl/c.88...t.A/id.4449/.f
It makes my other two km motors look like silly toys!!!

Well again if you beat it hard enough it will not last.

Personally I will use my KM engine until it quits, then a CY will go in. I like the CY engines I think it is a good bag for the buck. This summer I will be doing some 1/5th scale drag racing with my Rampage and I am looking at the 4-bolt Zen for that application.

srt10,

check out rcburnout.com for more info. My boy Pete is looking to setup some national events also.

This year I think we have a few Redcats so the 4wd class will be new & hot!

The baja and FG classes last year were very competitive and fun to watch...

It shouldn't have mattered...it was a stock HPI body paint job that I was showing off... and I appreciated the comments!
