RE: Just announced - new engines from Zenoah!
Is anyone having troubles as well with the carb that comes on the 270?
Heard people here claiming at the race 2 of the carbs had locked and they burnt the servos with it.
My friend ran a 270 also for the first time, his ran without trouble.
We found it was a bit lazy for a stock engine, I think the standard 260 does a somewhat better job powerwise.
For the moment I will stick with my 260.

I put a 27 in my MCD Baja and the engine is real nice.
I had a 26 in my FG and so far I like the 27 better. Definitely pushes the MCD around quite nicely and I have no pipe on it yet.
It starts in 1 or 2 pulls and the 813 idles real nice.
Hope to get some vid in the next few days and I'll post them here so you can judge for yourself.

Will production of the 230RC cease? If so, any indication when?

I have had the G270RC in my Baja from about a week after it was released. I use this Baja for racing only On-Road. Started off with a rear Dom and it ran great for the first two race with lots of usable power. I switched over to a side Dom for last weekends race and it seems to be a better pipe for me. Not sure why but it seems to have woken it up a bit more in the mid lows where I need it after making a turn to get back on the power.
Its been an extremely reliable engine and Im glad i chose it for this rig.

I thought I had an air leak so I checked everything and installed new fuel lines. The problem seemed to go away. Then it reared its ugly head again. It is quite odd because it does not always do it. While breaking the motor in it did it once and while out driving it after break in it did it once.
It seems to do it about five minutes into running after initial start up. The odd thing is, once it restarts it does not do it again. I am baffled but seriously thinking about changing the carb.

I think my carb may have an issue. The thing will be running great, then out of nowhere stalls and will not start properly. I can get it to turn over but seems to be starved for fuel. I give it gas and it bogs down, if I try to let it idle it stalls. I let it sit and it fires right up.

I tried everything I can think of in the way of the fuel system. I plan to put my other air filter set on, perhaps I put too much oil in the filter and it restricts air. Right now I am at a loss. If it does it again I am going to swap out carbs and see what happens.
