By far my best video yet...
I'm very proud, art rather than just plain action... Crank the volume up and watch it again when the high quality link becomes available. This is my first effort at editing with music, and I think it came out ok... Enjoy...

Thanks guys!! <Beams proudly> I even enjoy watching it myself, after spending several hours editing it.
All done with Windows Movie Maker. I should really learn a better package now I have some footage to play with.

Great vid but one minor suggestion for future videos, something is needed to show the true scale of those vehicles. I have seen a bunch of large scale videos and I always seem to be looking for something to compare the size to. I have no idea what to use, but just an observation.

RE: By far my best video yet...
I don't mind making that response public... BUT, there are a couple of extenuating circumstances that affect my response... First you have to consider that I have ALWAYS been an ON-road racer. I love the hot asphalt, the scream of high rpm engines, the personal challenge of concentration, perfecting your technique lap after lap to shave thousandths of seconds, and performing brave and skillful overtaking maneuvres...
With that in mind... After I finished taking that footage in the video above, unfortunately the camera card was full. Before we left, I went out onto the road (not a public road) and ran the Mitsubishi for the first time (Blackline, all locked diffs). I have to say I find the lightning acceleration from the 4wd, the mental braking, the perfect scale look, and the insane drifting, much more compelling than jumping off a ramp. HOWEVER...
If I had only one, I would want the other. Therefore, I'm very glad to have both. At the moment, I'm very happy with my collection... A 2wd monster, a 4wd buggy, and a couple of 4wd touring cars. I have the best of all worlds there, really.
I never get tired of the sheer power and speed of the FG, the way it pulls wheelies and throws back 3m rooster tails. I like the lizard like handling of the thunderbolt, and I go mad for the fantastic drifting action of the MCD.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again... the car that has given me the most SATISFACTION, and been the best value for money, by FAR, is the FG MB Pro. It still makes me grin every time I run it. But then the MCD does that too, and so did the Thunderbolt after I swapped the engine. If for example my GF told me I could only keep one car, I would have a real tough time deciding between the FG and one of the MCDs. I think the quality of the FG would win through though, and after all, you can take the FG on dirt and asphalt, the MCD only really on asphalt, the way I would want it set up (low and hard).
I suppose that doesn't help very much, does it?? lol. I think every RC hobbyist should have a monster in his/her collection, and if large scale, it should be the FG. With very few mods, it's virtually indestructible and SICK fast. I have only ever broken ONE part, a steering tie rod, which I'm sure had a manufacturing weakness, cos it broke almost spontaneously. Considering it's also the large scale I have owned the longest, I find that very telling.

RE: By far my best video yet...
an easy fix would be a vid of you starting it

Thanks for the suggestion, I know it's only very quick, but there are a couple of times it passes by me close, especially at the very end.
Maybe I could put a pic of myself holding them or something next time.

Very nice footage mate
Your effort doing this,is not in vain and as other guys stated before, this kind of work acts as a magnet to LargeScale
Keep up the good work and don't let some jealous fools disappoint you [8D]
