I agree when you get a RTR check all the screws and lockti them.
For your gearing and tune pipe check out www.fgsupply.com
The pipe from jet pro #JP0121 will fit the hurricane c5 and titan.
Talk to Angel,he will give you good advice on how to get your titan in great shape.
Here is his truck in action http://www.fifthelementracing.com/Videos_race.html

well the truck doesn't feel like it's quick until it's uncorked with a pipe. i want a pipe that can extracted more power especially top end. maybe it's the stock 28cc motor in the Titan that just doesn't have enough power to overcome the drivetrain.
angelshark's truck looked pretty dialed in those videos. and i assume he was using the stock gearing too.

I don’t have a pipe on my hurricane; I like it the way it is.
For top speed I have my fg mt beetle with st gearing its good top end for me.
Like I told you check out www.fgsupply.com they have help me out with all my questions.

angelshark been helping me out with my questions.
Today I decided to reversed the clutch shoes and replaced the stock clutch spring with a hpi 8000 rpm clutch spring.
I plan to run tomorrow, I'll report back results.
It's always good to have a backup car. My fs buggy is down right now, so I'm messing around with the Titan.

Good to know that you’re back in action. Angel and all the vsmodelsport team are good people,
so you got one foot in the door. Well I will be going to the race on Saturday I will report back the results.

reverse clutch shoes with the 8000 rpm spring really helps with acceleration.
so much that i'm having the set screws come off the spur and pinion. the metal on the clutch bell and pinion shaft where the set screws attach onto is not very strong. I've already seen some where on it after 5 tanks. also I noticed the set screws face that come with the kit are slightly tapered , that is not completely flat at the end. I have 4mm FG set screws that I replaced them with, they have a more flat surface I hope I get more surface area to tighten against the clutch bell shaft and pinion shaft.
Also had rebuilt the front and rear diffs with lucas heavy duty grease. I'll see how this runs today.
Let us know your results at the track.
